what? that's exactly what most of those tracks are, the same obnoxious shit as Cascada. But, seeing as you think those are some of THE greatest trance tracks ever produced you are beyond redemption. If your definition of "like-minded people" are those who only like your kind of music you're better off at trance.nu.

I don't understand how a forum with people only agreeing everything is good and dandy is of any interest what so ever.

most of the others? can you back that up?
I find it extreamly amusing that you are so eager to point out that Cascada and DJ Sammy are neither trance or quality but you are equally as eager to point out that exactly the same commercial music which Tiesto, PVD and Armin are producing is high quality trance music.
I think you fall on your own arguments.

Also I didn't say that all producers who goes for a commercial approach automatically drops in quality. There are examples of producers that can maintain a quality even when they become commercial. However neither Armin, Tiesto or PVD are any of those.
I've first heard Cosmic Gate in 1999 when they started producing hard trance. They were never among the best hard trance producers even back then. But listening to their tracks now is sad. It's really bad pop music that got nothing to do with trance.
As I said I wouldn't mind at all if they went commercial and produced good pop music but this is utter crap.

Maybe in your eyes but I think his style is still related to underground for one Ive never seen or heard him in the charts (maybe he has but lets face it at least one underground act has had a track shortened and put out into the charts albeit only charting lowly at say... 36 or something?)

Quick question: this is a trance forum right? hmmm why are people intent on slagging it just cos it has a "supersaw" effect in it? lol madness that is! I dont care what trance tunes have in them as long as they sound good and dont sound like they have been made on a bontempi keyboard by a 6 year old kid.

In case you didn't know, Armin have never been underground. And that is a choice of his own. His style have always, and more now than ever before been commercial. Regardless of how good or bad he is you can't ignore the fact that he is commercial.
