I have had enough of this shit. You and Ape are stupid. You are the ones getting offended when someone calls Armin or the likes shit. You are the ones getting offended when he has an opinion. Can you two just fuck off already? |
lol? hmmm? my argument wasn't even about Armin. Armin was besides the point. R!CH like to make people feel stupid, so I'm letting him kno how it feels to be stupid and arrogant. you should read the argument again buddy.

Obviously DJmag poll has to reflect on something dummy, Armin is number one for a reason, because he makes good music, and people like it. | its more of a reflection of marketing more than anything else in my opinion. people will like anything so long its pushed on them enough. I think john 00 fleming put it best on his blog:
"Loads of people know my views on the DJ mag poll, especially after my rants of the past few years, so you are asking my view on it this year. Well go back and read my original blogs from 4 years ago and I pretty much predicted what would happen. It’s now become a great filter system slowly squeezing out the serious specialist DJ’s, so it’s a chart of the commercial marketed DJ’s. If you want some commercial music, then go and see one of the guys in the chart and have some fun. If you want some more serious stuff, then go hunting and find the specialist guys. No one is better, it’s your call what music you like, things got easier because you have a chart to find the most popular on.
What gets on my goat is that I KNOW what goes on in this industry, after all I know how it works after being in it 25 years. I hate trophy holders blasting thanks emails saying ‘thanks for all who voted for me this year’, when in fact they (and marketing guys) voted for themselves??! Unless you’re one of the big guns, the only way to get in that chart is to fix it for yourself. Harsh words I know, but it’s the truth. If anyone wants to confront me with this then lets set up a lie detector test before we start. There’s a predictable pattern of DJ agencies and their DJ roster in regular placing each year, doesn’t take much to work out how this happens.
I promised no more rants, so I stop there. No it’s not sour grapes before I get attacked by forum bashers. I don’t want commercial gigs, I don’t want to be a super star DJ, so the chart has no purpose for me."
anyone can vote on the dj mag poll too. even people who dont realize that g&d broke up long ago. daft punk hasnt done any actual dj gigs this past year. or the difference between a dj and live set. its really annoying to read 'number dj in the world too when it should actually be 'dj mag's voted number one dj' esp considering resident advisors poll is very different and not anyone can vote there. you have to at least be registered for a certain amount of time. armin or his marketing team can't push that so well once the poll is active. not that RA poll is actual reflection either (there really isnt one) but its def better esp when having a dj and live act poll.

yes, unfortunately
i'll stick to my opinion, but it's cool to see what people have to say. Is this dude saying that DJmag is rigged? IN MY OPINION, i dont think it is. I have many friends that vote on it, and they do vote for who they like, and im pretty sure a lot more people do it as well. And for DaftPunk argument, I believe that their fanbase is excessively huge, so of course they would get voted as well, they do make good music, and people know for a fact that their next album is/will be good. I dont care if these DJ's on Dj mag are commercialized, they freaking make music that i can enjoy and dance to, so that argument is subjective. And i know that there are A LOT of good underground artist, but thats besides the point
HOW DID ONE THREAD LIKE THIS GET HAVOC-ED BY SO MUCH FIRE. IT WAS A FREAKING FRIENDLY THREAD ASKING "why i thought TAO was not going to bring any trance artist".
you guise are all douche bags who can't freaking stay on topic.(the ones that are hating on trance btw)
