My best friend is full-on vegan, and as much as I make fun of her for having an eating disorder, even she agrees that its totally natural for humans to eat meat. Its cool if you have your personal reasons, but my teeth rip through flesh perfectly fine, thank you.

I can see why you think it's a begging-the-question fallacy, but it isn't. I'm reasserting my argument that we're omnivorous. If you want to prove otherwise by comparison, you should be comparing humans to omnivores, not carnivores. Proving we're not carnivores is a strawman fallacy because nobody claimed we were designed to only eat meat.

I'm ignoring them because they're irrelevant. Theresa asked me why I feel it's okay to eat meat. I said we eat meat by default. You disagreed with a lot of bad logic. I'm not particularly interested in why you're a veggie, I'm just interested in defending my own position.

Humans are definitely meant to be omnivores. Historical evidence shows that early man ate meat. We have the biological system of an omnivore. Hydrochloric acid in our stomachs, NOT found in herbivores, enzymes in your pancreas designed to break down meat, NOT found in herbivores. No cellulase (the enzyme need to fully break down vegetation), cellulase is needed for an herbivorous animal, but we don't produce any. Our intestines are long (generally a sign of herbivorous animals) but our intestines are not nearly as long as a true herbivore. We possess canines, NOT found in herbivores. Do I need to go on?

So what you're saying is God purposely designed us to be immoral? That makes me kinda wet.

I eat meat because:

a) great source of nutrients
b) tastes ever so good
c) humans are omnivores
d) humans have been eating meat since the dawn of time
e) i'm not a stupid hippie

We haven't fully evolved into carnivores yet, but that's where we are (or at least were) headed. Anyone who wants to be an evolutionary laggard can be my guest, however; I only ask that they take the pea brain that goes along with it.

We can't even feed on the flesh of the weak because their diet is inferior.
