I think part of the problem is that you said "cheesy," "formulaic," etc... all of which have very strong negative connotations. This implies that you think such music is "bad" or at least is worth less than more "underground" music.

This judgment is fine, as any of us can think whatever we want about anything. But no music is intrinsically "good" or "bad." (You didn't say "bad" but the implication was there)

I agree that the DJ Mag poll only gives us a rough estimate of whose music gives the most pleasure to the most people.

Lol he played that at TAO. We were dying. Crowd was eating his shit up though. Not my thing but I have seen him twice, WMC 08(Space Terrace) and TAO and the crowd was going off both times.
