This is a wake-up call, and all you care about are your politics and your wallet. |
You are helping me make my point; if we obtained the same amount of oil from dry land that we do from offshore oil rigs, we would minimize the risk of environmental disasters at sea. I never said I was against alternatives... and I never once insisted on an "either/or" scenario. Developing alternatives is totally fine with me, but you can't just drop oil/gas and make the switch overnight. I live in the real world and understand that fossil fuels feed the engine of economic growth today; you're an imbecile if you think we don't require them for prosperous economies. And we will continue to need them as our main source for some time, like it or not. If green energy and technology were genuinely prosperous, the market would be flush with them right now. What would you know about economic growth anyway? You hail from a country where 50% of the labor force picks bananas and coffee beans.
