Well, VIP is open bar again. That's good to know!
Now we just need a lineup. I saw Sean Tyas twice last year, so I'm not too interested in seeing a mini-set compared to what I've already seen.
Netsky is awesome, so there's one positive if he's actually booked.
I wonder who the heavy hitter will be? PVD? A&B? (Neither of them have a scheduled gig for that weekend yet) |
I have a feeling A&B will there, if not edc for sure.

I gave up on the "VIP Experience" - last time I went (Nocturnal, year before last), the only vodka was Russian Standard (you can probably search for it right here on the TA forum and read how people wish they had died rather than living the next day after drinking this poison that passes for vodka). I was so surprised after all the complaints to see this shit back at EDC last year, so I'm sure they will have it again at Beyond Wonderland as well.
Even getting bottled water was a fiasco, you had to finish it inside the VIP area, so when you really needed a drink after dancing for an hour in one of the stages, it was all the way back to the VIP area to gulp another water down in 2 minutes and back to the stage to dance again, without water.
The only good things were the buffet and restrooms. The buffet is average, but there are not a lot of nearby gourmet restaurants and it is convenient. The restrooms inside VIP have soap, hot & cold running water, and even paper towels the first half of the night...not worth the extra cost this year for me though.
I just hope they come to their senses and serve top shelf liquor to to those who are paying for it. The beer-only setup at EDC was such a buzzkill, no wonder so much of the crowd was on e!

They had Russian Standard at Monster Massive, and the hangover was definitely bad. I've had worse, though.
I feel you on the fact that you can't take any of the drinks, water included, out of the VIP section. Nocturnal 2010 had a VIP bar at the house stage, but not the trance stage (thanks to Steve Angello's supposed hissy fit that the stages be changed last minute).
At Noc 2010, though, the vodka was Smirnoff. Not the best by any means, but better than Russian Standard for sure.
