common sense still applies, especially in detroit. Be low key while walking around at night.
Stick to Courtyard Marriot/RenCen hotels to be right next to the event
Afterparties are a bit all over...cab it, split costs w/ buddies

My Marriott Courtyard reservation has been upgraded to the RenCen also! Not bad for $129/night. If someone is still trying to reserve a room, I suggest going through the codes on THIS link, since you may be able to find a good discount.

I got my $129 Courtyard rate with it. A friend tried some for RenCen and didn't get anywhere though, and ended up booking the AAA rate.

None of the afterparties really jump out at me yet, except maybe the Dave Clarke party, Old Miami of course, and the boat if it happens, and if Sven is on it.
They really need to pick it up with the after party announcements this year!
