I kind of disagree with this. Let me preface this response with the fact that I meet and work with a lot of high profile people in the entertainment industry.
IMO, the fact that these people make 1000 times more in a couple of years, than the average person will make in their entire lifetime, has to come with some form of respective (or karmic, if your so inclined) price; that "harassment" you speak of is generated specifically by them (and the pr machines that surround them) to make them all this money. It's unnatural yes, but so is earning $5mil to pretend to be a vampire in front of a camera for a couple of weeks. Goes with the territory. You don't the harassment, then give back all that money.
With success comes haters. With promotion comes scorn. With ability comes injury. Mo' money, Mo' Problems. However you want to say it.
How you achieve those initial positives, often dictates how those inseparable negatives follow.
Now going back to this:

As much as I feel for them, as having you life ruined is not fun for anyone - they courted it at least to some degree - it's called be careful what you wish for, and know how to deal.
No one asked them to pose for scantily clad or suggestive pics, nor upload them to the internet to create some kind of online persona. You know these days if you you're dumb enough to take pics of yourself on a phone, they might as well already be published. Both those girls knew what they were doing and didn't realise the price.
It's like the whole lady Diana thing *Rann braces for impact* - she fucking courted the press, left right and center for her own status and fame (and in fairness charity work) then wanted them to not hound her when it suited her. Can't have it both ways.
Don;t get me wrong - I'm not even for a second hinting at the "rape victims deserved it" argument, but don't expose yourself or act like a slut if you don't want to be treated like one. I would never, but sadly there are people out there that will.
