Just like to let everyone know I purchased my very first VINYL today.

How cool do I feel?! I was initially after DJ Energy - Excelsis but they sold out so I decided to get Alex Bartlett - Amnesia (Champ of a mate actually bought it for me).

Hopefully this hobby will snowball into an obsession as with my CD collection.

I have a mammoth collection. Not one, but TWO VINYLS!! Hahahah. First record was the white label of EPDM - Music (hiphop) with a sassy house tune on the flip. Then bought UBQ Project - When I Fell In Love 2002 (Remixes) [Boombastic] just a few weeks ago from Rhythm n Soul. Was chillin in there and the guy there put this on.. bought it straight away Lovely beach house I currently have $500 in my ING account .. that's the mixer paid for! Now only to save up another $1600 for 2 technics Mk2s!

You should see the TT we got at the momento. I tear it up on this little bugger, +2/-2 pitch control, no slipmat, least i know when i get all my shit together i have a decent stereo to play on 2x120watt JBL speakers, Sansui 100 watt per channel amp...tis some good shit, although i've fucked up one of the speakers, the material which circles the cone on the woofer has come away from the edge of the woofer...kinda strange description but when the thing has to rumble this thing fucken flaps around makin a horrible noise.

Whats everyone's stereos like?

You must give4 that system some sort of pounding Pointy.

Quick speaker repair tip: If the surround (a.k.a "the material which circles the cone on the woofer") is not too badly falling off, u could try sticking it together with rubber cement or some other stiff adhesive.
