Couple weeks late, but speaking of Sasha and Digweed, saw them at Silo in Dallas for the club's one-year anniversary on September 13. Amazing show. Sinca was a great opener. S&D came on around 9:30 and didn't stop until after 2:30 (including an encore track).
They spent a couple hours building up a good groove, and once midnight hit they really let it rip. At its best it was that driving progressive sound from the late 90s/Global Underground/Communicate/Twilo era. Intense and mostly relentless, still had the classic long transitions and insane layering. Honestly the best they've sounded in years, almost like old times again. They even dropped some classics like BT - Mercury & Solace (Helsloot Extended Remix) and LSG - Netherworld (BLR X Hel:slowed Remix). Crowd went nuts. Also played Paul Kalkbrenner - Gebrunn Gebrunn near the end which was a nice touch (pretty sure I heard them play that last time I saw them together at Crobar NYC in 2006).
Only negative is they took a little too long building that groove in the beginning and I started to lag just before midnight, but it sounded like they were chomping to let go once the lights came on proper at midnight and they could do peak time. Consequence of doing a five hour set with an early closing time I guess - probably would have been better if they could've stayed later.
Silo is a pretty damn nice venue, phenomenal sound and visuals (Diggers said he had a hand in the sound design), good crowd for the most part. Second time there and I'd go back for sure. 5 hour set was easily worth the flight from the PNW.
Just got tickets for S&D in LA in November - hoping they tear it up again. With a 5 or 6AM ending time I bet it'll be solid. Flying down Friday night and back home right after the show's over...straight into recovery with the kids at home, definitely going to feel that.

Innervisions show was freaking amazing. Dixon and Ame are probably the best DJ duo out there. I think I recorded 2 songs they played but did my best to keep my phone in my pocket. It was one of those nights where I wanted to stay in the moment (if that makes sense). They just have this incredible sound that is hard to explain. Best I comparison I can make is (old) Sasha and Digweed. Dixon plays all the trippy, brain destroyer shit, and Ame comes back in with the bangers.

Nice man, I've listened to them individually but not as a duo. You got me interested now! Gotta check em out.
