actually i'm in the right thread...kubrick's films got oscars nominations and none of them deserved it

I'm still pissed off that senn penn won and bill murray did not.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind looks very intriguing.

Also, check out United States of Leland... looks like a good movie as well.

Vanilla Sky owns you.
Clockwork Orange owns you.

gah, i'm so out of the loop

the last good movie i saw was "Heaven" or "Paradis" [ITA] with Kate Blanchett... the storyline is nothing spectacular, though the cinematography is pretty good and the film should be seen just for the shots of northern italy (namely Milan), and the countryside...

another one i saw recently, more like couple of months ago, is "Dirty Pretty Things" with the girl that played the role of Amelie... the plot is great, though as the film dragged on it became a bit too predictable, i won't go into details though... either way, strongly recommend seeing this one...

..speaking of Cate Blanchet, I watched Veronica Guerin, its good for its kind (heh, how diplomatic of me)
and I also saw Elizabeth with her in the lead and didn't like it at all and didn't seem very accurate, from what I know

Also caught Rabbit-proof fence liked it a lot, though it was very slow at times, felt like zipping through it

And I watched Dirty Pretty Things way back when it came out, I think it was Oct. of last year.. I didn't like it, and I found it to be awfully dark, kind of plain and unappealing..

Like I said, I wanted to check out Eternal sunshine.. and I did, it was alright. I liked the random pattern and I was particularly interested to see how they are going to present the actual procedure of exterminating memories and I found it to be pretty cool

Oh, yeah.. I also watched this very bizarre, creepy film.. La Pianiste (Piano Teacher).. it was somewhat demented and just plain weird, didn't find it to be very enjoyable and I usually don't have a problem with French 'avant-garde' and Michael Haneke, even though I haven't seen many of his productions.
And (I'm not done yet.. but I just keep remembering more haha) I watched a German film What to do in case of fire entertaining, I liked it

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH RIIIGHT, JUST REMEMBERED -- I FOUND OUT LA MALA EDUCACION RELEASED IN SPAIN ON MARCH 17TH -- AAAAAAAAAAND I WILL GET TO SEE IT IN FEW WEEKS WEEEEEEEEEE -- COURTESY OF A MADRILENO I KNOW

BTW.. United States of Leland?!? None of my videostores (6 and counting) has it.. when was it released? imdb.com shows 2003
