if by 'mad' you mean 'fvcking boring' then yes, research methods is mad did have to use spss for a bit, but that was back in 2000 (im old).

the only good thing about the class is that our lecturer is a pure spaced out academic who tells the funniest stories and rambles on about mail order brides, john brogden and his slit wrists etc etc. he dawdles off on tangents at the slightest change of the minute hand

I had the choice of SPSS or Winnonlin, both suck the big ones.
Some PhD's in my lab complained about SPSS, but Winnonlin sucks just as much. Dunno if SPSS can do sigmoidal relationships actually, but oh well. Will have to use SPSS in the near future anyway.
