I know you meant TA...but there doesn't seem to be a lot of TA's from Tampa. Strippers...tons of female strippers. You are right about that. I could always find a guy that likes breaks. Then again...I think not.

you could find a breaks guy, just move to Orlando

You find more people open to trance obviously in the cities with a large scene like DC, LA, NYC, SF, Chicago, Miami, etc...

and just for the record, I'm sure its a lot easier to find a guy who likes trance than a girl who likes trance if you go by the stats of gender on TA and in every club in the world

Tampa isn't really small...it's just that the scene is more of a breaks scene. So many people don't understand why it is so important to me to find someone that shares my same passion for trance. Hell...trance is my life. My best friend and my brother are the same way. I love it too much to be with someone that doesn't enjoy it. I want someone that not only would go on a road trip with me to see someone like Ferry, but who would also be the one to tell me where we were going to see him. Did that make sense? Sometimes I feel like I am asking for too much. I refuse to settle though.

yeah, my ex was a huge trance fan and we went on roadtrips (DC) and to Godskitchen Global Gathering, Dance Valley, and Belgium to party, so yes, I understand where you are coming from. I'm coming from a city thats 90% hip-hop and NO TRANCE, so i fully get what you are saying and yes, it is hard to find someone that not only respects the music you like, but also enjoys it as well

You are probably right, but you would be surprised how hard it's been for me. My ex loved trance...we definitely had that in common. Seems like the guys that listen to it here are few and far between. It's very frustrating. I'm the kind of girl that wouldn't mind being with someone that was a DJ or produced trance. I'm sure that the time invested in spinning out at clubs or in the studio would get to me from time to time, but the end result would be worth it. The high I get off of watching someone like Ferry spin...or even my best friend spin...I couldn't imagine how that feels when that is your mate. I always joke that I could see having a house set up with one room being an office/studio and having speakers wired through the house so that I could listen to my man do his thing. haha! Hell...I should just become a DJ and entertain myself! hehe

I see where you are coming from. I think it hits you when you go out to a club and you see couples at the events. You miss that feeling, the comfort, the security, and you want to find it again. The main problem tho is that the people are getting younger and I'm getting older, so finding someone who likes trance is becoming harder and harder

my girlfriend

My Girlfriend actually developed an interest in trance because of me. After forcing her to listen to it constantly, and doing ferry air keyboarding up her arm for months, she finally started taking an interest and listening to it herself. When I go back to Japan next month, we are buying decks together so we can both spin. They will stay at my place though :-D

thats great bro. My problem is I don't want to have to influence her with what I like, because then I will never know if she actually likes it or she is doing it because I like it. Sometimes its hard to differentiate between the two. If she trully does come around to it then more power to you, otherwise she is just doing it to make you happy, but in the long run I think its more of a problem then not

You are exactly right. It does get harder as we get older. Too damn hard! I was with my ex for 4 1/2 years so I had no issues before with having someone to go on road trips with me. I doubt I would have done 1/2 of what I did between 1998-2002 if not for him. He was just as hyped about going somewhere as I was. I've been single since December 2002 and it is hard as hell to find someone that has even a tenth of my passion for trance. My brother is now my road trip buddy. I wish that my best friend could be there with us, but he has to work as a DJ here in town (plus he has a family). It's always a better time when you have people there to share that time with you. Someome that wants to be there...not because they feel obligated. You have no idea how nice it is to find people that I can relate to. I think it was fate that made me talk to Neil while standing in line at Ferry's show at the HOB last fall. He was the one that urged me to come on to TA. That's why I always say that I have nothing but love for him. Meeting up with everyone on May 1st was awesome. I look forward to May 29th and to June 18th.

There's hope for me yet! Are you going to teach her how to spin? That's awesome!
