Osasuna isn't there for no reason.
This is a true team, which plays with the resources they've got. They're nothing even close to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia and Villareal econimicly.
Osasunas manager, Aguirre has really done a great job during the four years he's been in the Basque club. Osasuna wasn't even meant to be left in the La Liga when they took themselves up, but Aguirre changed it by playing stunning in the first part of the season, and then ofcourse fall back because they've never had the same quality squad like the big teams in Spain.
But, under the last couple of years, Aguirre has managed to buy/loan a couple of great players from bigger and smaller clubs. Pierre Webó, Savo Milosevic, Moha, Valdo and Ludovic Delporte. These players aren't even close to be compared with the transfers that Real Madrid has done over the last couple of years.
But this is very motivated players who're prepared to work for their success, Aguirre motivates them very well obviously. This, mixed with the youngsters of the team and their own players being produced and upgraded to the first team, makes them fit very well together. Now, with the second place on the table, they can keep on working even harder for their finishing position. Champions League and other European cups like the UEFA Cup gives a lot of money to invest into this already very talented team. I certainly hope they can keep their manager, players and position on the table, this would automaticly give them more oppurtunities to work and gain experience in the really big cups.
