I agree about respecting another's trust in oneself, but the way Moral describes it, it does sound like a crutch...which I don't agree with at all. If you can't do it for yourself, you shouldn't be looking to another person to do it for you.
Your own opinion of yourself and what you could "get away with" should have weight above all others, imo. I mean if you don't know what's right and wrong to you, and don't have some kind of integrity surrounding that, it's pretty whack. But I think I'm just reading too far into that, lol. |
I'm not sure I'd view it as a crutch. The decision making process isn't such that I'm thinking "I totally want this bar slut to blow me but if somehow Mrs. Hazard finds out then I'm fucked;" rather, it's more like "while I'm sure that receiving fellatio from this lady of questionable morals would be enjoyable I value maintaining Mrs. Hazard's trust more." See the distinction?
With respect to "do(ing) it for yourself" it's worth pointing out that I really don't know if I'm capable of "doing it" (I'm really not certain what it is in this instance) for myself... there is a difference between having doubts in one's ability and lacking said ability. Do I trust myself to make the best decision at all times in any circumstance that may ever pose itself... no, how can anyone unless they have actually been put in every circumstance?
