I do this too, all the time ;D. Just can't help it.
I also try to guess what BPM the threes are flashing by in. like
"it gotta be House-music (130)..." And then I try to make a tune up in my mind, and acctually using the "sound" the threes look like as pads or something... anyways.
When your at a club, and the music seems a little slow, or a little fast, and you pull your mobile out, wait for the clock to tick over to the next minute, and actually start to count the BPM.
