At least Tiesto cares about his fans hearing and takes you on that "easy on the ears Journey" Of course untill he drops Flight 643 @ 140.

WOW, how did I miss this one??? ANYWAY, mr Tiesto Whore. 145 bpm sets rock, and from the last PVD set I was with you at, You didn't seem to mind at all(SS '04) You can't deny the type of f0ckin energy PVD has brought to the majority of the sets he has done this year. Not so sure we can say that about Tiesto's sets.

And Just to clarify something, I don't dislike Tiesto or his music. As a matter of fact, I have a great deal of respect for the music he makes and what type of Icon he is for EDM. I just don't , MY OPINION HERE, like his music better than PVD and I don't feel that he brings the same energy to a set like PVD does.

No Flaming you or anything, just stating my opinion

I feel the same way as you do bro....but just the opposite. I totally respect PVD and I love his sets but he doesn't do it for me like Tiesto does. Your right about PVD and the energy he creates.....its insane. But 9 times out of 10, it's non stop all through his set....boom boom boom!!! Tiesto on the other hand builds that energy up with his sets. You can't label Tiesto as a Trance DJ because he so much more than that.....mixing not only trance but prog, house, and techno and into one set taking you on that 'Magik Muzik Journey.' I love it how Tiesto builds things up to the point of insanity then winds it down a bit (what some of you people call "fluffy" ) and then goes straight into the harder techno stuff. He just covers all aspects of EDM better than any DJ I have seen.

One thing I will give Paul over Tiesto is his remixing skills. PVD is the man when it comes to Remixing. Tisto isn't that big on remixing and he only has a few solid ones under his belt (Silence, Southern Sun, Adagio For Strings, Never, Die Another Day.....) PVD on the other hand has remixes coming out the wood work.

Now Tiesto on the other hand is a much better producer than PVD IMO. And that means alot to me. [Flame on] In the past it seems to me that PVD only produces and remixes tracks so that they fit better into his sets [/Flame]

I will admit that Tiesto has fell off balance this year just a bit......his performace at Ultra didn't do much for me and his second set at Space was blaaaahh. But his set at Space durring WMC was right up there with PVD at SummerStage. Total madness!!! And im sure Tijs will rock our socks when he comes to Central Park next month.

Brian, bro I hear ya and def respect your opinion. On thing I have to comment on, NOT FLAME, is the producer thing. Yeah, maybe Tiesto is a better producer, but I would NOT go as far as saying he is a MUCH better producer.

The past 2 events at Summerstage I have been to(Pvd and PVD lol 2003 and 2004). there WAS an opening Dj but who the hell knows who he is and he is not even playing EDM. Usually some ambient music. Pretty good though(not really an opener just someone to play while everyone walks in). And he will probably play from 6-10pm. Remember kids..doors open at 4:30
