It's the fact that people who know trance as either the hypnotic, psychedelic, or proggy varieties don't really like it when modern euro gets the same 'trance' label just because it either uses a breakdown/build template (hardly a trance exclusive; just listen to some disco house) or makes use of similar sounds (again, sounds that are hardly a trance exclusive; eg: pads were used in ambient long before producers started to add them to techno to make them trance).
Hmmm.. I think I'm starting to understand what all those techno purists were going on about in the early 90's.
