Actually I didn't. He couldn't mix much better then, and his track selection was all pumping anthems. Now Oakenfold, around the same time, was also a shitty mixer, but he was decent enough to drop tracks with some dignity, and maybe one anthem in a set. Listen to his Rojam 99 EM; only one track that could even be considered an anthem, all of the tracks are pretty laid-back. Same with the one in Ibiza. I never praised him as the best DJ in the world though, no, I was just grateful for the good music he brought me. And that's that.
But that's not what this argument is about. It's about people like tiestoisgod actually arguing against us when we make good points. They argue that his mixing is good, even on his mixed compilations, when they don't know anything about DJing. Do I know everything? No, but I'm smart enough to realise that short mixes that offer nothing new, like on ISOS4, is not enough to make him the #1 DJ in the world. And I'm not here to argue that Richie Hawtin or whatever is the best, but come on, pick someone with some skill.
Oh, and I like one element of B&J - Perfect Silence (Electro-Craig's 808 Dub or whatever it's called), and the beginning bassline of Kernkraft 400. Sorry if that makes me a trance cracker. Hey, maybe it would be true... if I didn't listen to 30 other genres of EDM.
