BT was absolutely amazing!

Special thanks to PH1 and Tigerstone for putting on such a great night. Top notch all around!

Quick question, where would I be able to find some custom made earplugs, I saw a lot of people wearing them and BT was as well.

My hearing is worth the $100-200 it would cost to get some custom ones made.

sorry for missing the meetup guys!
i had to go back home cause i forgot my vinyl sleeve to have it signed got to the club at 11:45 saw some people by the ciggy machine but i wasnt sure if they were TAs or not, didnt recognize anyone so i just kinda walked by heh i really hope to meet you guys tonight at schulz and push party

BT was meh, very commercial sounding, the kind of stuff you'd hear on the beat heh. paavo and jono, came, destroyed and conquered. it is too bad they only got an hour and a half to play :\ fck the lights came on at 2:50. i love paavo, he's such a great guy. very friendly, chatty and crazy to top it all off. i think its great that jono was there too, they both got the chance to interact with the crowd more than if it was just one of them. and they were playing all the right tunes too, the level of energy didnt go down by a bit throughout the whole set.

some of the tunes that a&b played:
ozgur can - eighties
peter martin presents anthanasia - simply blue
above and beyond - air for life
andy moor - halcyon
super8 - alba
and a kick ass tune towards the end with male vocals, got it on a short vid, maybe someone can ID it

i'll post the pics in an hour or so

thanks to arpy and all the promoters involved for putting on a nice event

we would like to see more shows being put on at nicer venues (Plush is ok considering the amount of people it can hold.) But after seeing Dave Seaman at Plaza with their nice sound system in there, it would be awesome if you guys could book Plaza on a Friday night or Saturday night. (i know it's impossible, just wishful thinking here. )

more shows on the weekends would be nice too

i actually did like plaza too, nice setup there. i like sonar too. i'd say its one of my most fav venues in the city, something about it, dont know, just really like it. viva was great cause it puts you really close to the dj, its a nice intimate setting and there's parking!! would be nice to get commodore sometime too

I hate to kill everybody’s good vibe out here but having people on stage in front of the DJs is disrespectful to the audience. The sound was flat out amazing, the visuals where nice but allowing 4 girls that were NOT part of the show to dance front and center in front of BT for 45 minutes isn't acceptable.

(Notice those 3 people blocking the view of several hundred paying customers?)

Security said they were 'BT's friends'. When I approached BT and told him I though it was disrespectful and tacky he said 'what am I supposed to do? -- I'm just trying to work out here' as if he didn't know them. Regardless I think BT needs to take move ownership of the product people have paid for -- his performance.

I really could give a rats ass who knew them. I came to see the DJs and when you have DJs at this level performing there is an expected minimal level of professionalism. Allowing people who are not part of the show to full on block the entire view of the performer for most of the crowd is third rate. Clearly these girls where getting off on the attention as well because there were blowing kisses to the crowd and grinding on each other like there we at a 50 Cent show. It doesn't get much more insulting.

I’m not the only one that felt like this. A number of people were flipping them off, yelling at them and complaining to security. Even Jono was rolling his eyes at them.

This is the second show I’ve come to Vancouver for and the second time this has happened. Is this the norm in Vancouver club culture? Does the paying audience take a back seat to the friends of whomever?

Again sorry for killing the vibe but it needed to be said.

Keith

PS Above and Beyond was incredible.

But I agree the groupie problem should be addressed, some of these act's are married, and Im sure if they told the groupie to fack off it wouldnt look too good for them

you are absolutely right keith. fck i would prolly tolerate them if they were pretty, but they werent. and their attire was even worse lol. i'm all up for being girly and wearing pretty skirts and dresses but i really wouldnt want hundreds of people see the color of my panties. the 50 cent show is a perfect way to describe those girls. not only were they blocking the view for the audience but they were also right in BT's face. if i were the dj, i'd tell them get the fck out of my view or i'd smack them with my record bag. really glad they were gone for a&b

i saw one guy finger the girls when they were up there, it was hilarious lol

i also got a nice shot of one of the girls, will post it in a bit
