I'm pretty sure you can coax a dog in to licking peanut butter off your nipples.

Okay, let's get back to the topic that the thread started with.

question for everyone:

What are your beliefs regarding religion? Do you hold beliefs for one particular religion or do you believe something else? Love to hear from you.

My OPINION...

All "religion" is obsolete...

you do not have to practice a certain religion to believe in God. Religion is corrupt and they all contradict each other.

Christianity is the belief of Jesus Christ and Jesus is NOT God...many people would confuse the two and believe Christ to be their God or something, which I've seen. Catholics (I was baptized Catholic) believe in Saints and Saints are NOT God. Jews don't believe in Jesus but in God. All religions have these so called "systematic" beliefs when in reality it usually comes down to a man preaching the word of God or the bible and usually many people begin to praise a pastor, reverend etc and attend church because of these people...and that is totally wrong.

There are so many different bibles and they do not all interpret the same thing, whose to say which one is correct? Afterall, it was just a MAN who wrote these bibles.

I believe in God. I also believe in Science (as crazy as it sounds) I don't believe in religion and I don't believe in order to praise God you have to do so in a church, temple etc. I believe you can go to a corner in your house or next to your bed and pray. Belief lies in your heart and mind.

How would I look following a religion and going to church on Sundays when the night before I rolled balls. God may forgive our sins but that is wrong and it happens all the time just because people believe that they're going to hell or will be punished because they don't attend church or follow a religion.

The Catholic church was said to be split in half when the crucifixion of Christ occurred...what does that say?

I also believe in Science and their teachings but just like religion, it's flawed and they contradict their research all the time.

[this is just my opinion so I don't want anyone attacking what I believe in since I have not singled out anyone and done it to them...we are all different and believe different things]

your a smart guy occrider

the germans thought it the right thing to do when they sent the jews off to the concentration camps. the serbs thought it the right thing to do to force out the muslims. in the middle east, dying for "allah" is an honor. it was a necessary move for the soviets to send millions of it citizens to the gulags in siberia to die of exhaustion. thousands starve to death in india because they believe all animals(source of meat) are divine reincarnations.

and there are more examples, but it seems like humans really dont know whats right and wrong.

Who suffers more? A stabbing victim who dies a hour later from blood loss? Or someone who is dying of cancer, and slowly wastes away over a year?

While we can certainly discuss the various forms that suffering takes we will only understand so much. The real issue is why is there so much suffering? Since even the most casual observer of reality should notice that its everywhere.

As for answering that question, the path starts with the following question.

How much does Light cost?

The Guardian at the first Gate will ask you:

If you have an IQ of 130 who paid for it?

and you should answer:

My bell curve twin who has an IQ of 70 has paid for it.

Religion (meaning organized religion) is a joke and simply a way for people to feel good about themselves and the people they share there religion with. Without religion we would have had way fewer wars and our christrian influenced view of the enviroment certainly hasn't helped it at all. Which means we'd be way better off. Not to mention we'd be a thousand years further into technology if the christians hadn't burned the library of alexandria.
