No, metalgear is spot on. Looks can really help a guy, but they are not the decisive factor in making the girl feel attracted to you.

And it's the opposite for girls trying to attract a guy, of course. If a girl is fat and ugly, no personality in the world is going to help her.

EDIT - you'd think that females are really superficial judging from the amount of time they spend on their makeup and hair and clothing in order to look good, but at the same time they are much more accepting of men with so-so looks than men are of women with so-so looks.
