I gave up on ChemEnhanced - as he said, he has his own definition of words, so really, what's the point in arguing?

But Duforia, just ... WOW. It's like you purposely turn a blind eye to every single one of my posts regarding the subject.

i think it's an initiative somehow related to Lance Armstong to raise money/support fight against cancer. They are this weird rubbery-looking material. now a bunch of other causes have started making them in other colours. They are pretty ugly-looking, but whatever, if they are raising money for good causes then good on them.

Yes, Livestrong is the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF). Their mandate is helping people with cancer to get on with their lives and - well, live strong. They started selling the original yellow bracelets as a fundraiser, but the resellers and imitators are just selling them for profit as a fashion fad.

I suppose the consumers are really to blame for buying items which they have no clue about the meaning of (just like these idiots that get tattoos of the Kung Pao Chicken recipe), but I still think it's wrong to be trying to profit directly off the work of a non-profit organization, especially the LAF.

The imitation bracelets definitely belong on the "worst trend" list.

I think you definitely took that the wrong way. Yes, God is God. Its just that the classic figure of God has always been a white guy. I ment that, if a director specifically wanted a black man to play god, Morgan Freeman would be a perfect choice. IMO he is the perfect choice to play God regadless of colour, but if you wanted a black god, he fits the bill.

I am not racist, and I am not religous. I was just looking at it from a casting point of view.

HOw bout next summer, we go go-karting. Serious go-karting. They are the closest things to F1 cars, and you will see what we mean. These drivers have to fit because of the extreme G forces put on their bodies. Just like fighter pilots.

There is a reason they train like atheletes, its because their jobs require it. If they didnt, they would pass out in the cockpit and crash, its that simple. ITs not an easy thing to do.

All i can say again, i am not saying its a sport, im just saying that their jobs require the extreme training, and in the summer I will prove it to you.

There is a case to be made for it requireing stamina but so does waiting tables and waitresses aren't considered athletes.

Moral, I concur. The physical training that goes behind a F1 driver is mind boggling. Not only is it physical training, but mental too. It is much more tedious than people think.

I am hardly turning a blind eye. I'm saying the stuff they do to get ready for their races is athletic, but the actual race itself is not athletic

ok you drive a car for 2 + hours racing. seriously you guys are lost.

as for the drivers being fit to get into the car...horse shit. they have to be smaller to begin with. its not like working out keeps them at 5'6 instead of 6'1.

Seriously I cant beleive you think there is no athletic skill in auto racing. You know most f1 drivers loose about 10 lbs during a race(yes lots of liquid) but if it were so non stressful that wouldnt happen.

No athletism involved in expereincing high g's for hours on end.

seriously go drive some real go karts for more then 10 minutes and then come back and talk.

driving these speeds and like this for hours(even with no passing) is so easy...

have any of you driven anywhere far? say more then an hour and a half? Im an athlete and driving/traveling is definately tiring.
Multiply that by lots and thats what racing is like.

Driving far is just fatiguing. You got all sorts of luxuries etc etc.

Race car driving is probably closer to being strapped into a wooden rollercoaster car for 2 hours, where the lateral g's reach 3.0 instead of 1, and where you gotta fight those 3 gs with your hands to keep the car turning.

Duforia, I'm sure that you're a tough guy and all, but I can guarantee you that if you sat down into a F1 car, and went through what the drivers go through, that by the time you get out, I'd be able to bitch-slap you silly, without you being able to lift your arms to defend yourself. Not to mention standing in a suit full of your own urine from pissing yourself of fright numerous times.
