Train probably, but it best to ask at the information desk at luton, they will be able to tell you.

For anyone wanting to meetup, I will be in the Godskitchen tent at about 5pm near the godskitchen sign at the front under the letter "E". Its about 30meters from the stage we reckon. I will be wearing a blue T-shirt saying "Armchair raver society". See you all there

Looks like I'm the first one back then! Left at about 4am and flew up the M40, M42, M6 to Stafford!

Awesome night, but a few annoying problems from Global's end really.
One, the Gods tent wasn't open when we got in, and opened about an hour late, giving Jon O'Bir only about 40 minutes set!

Matt Hardwick was pretty cool! During either Jon O'Bir or Matt Hardwick I noticed Mateh in his TA shirt so went and said hi, and he informed me of the lack of PvD! Bugger!
I also mentioned that the TA meetup was going to be a bit of a pain as there was no massive Godskitchen lettering across the front this year, so we wouldn't be able to meet at the E! I didn't try to meet up anyway, I was too busy enjoying A&B!
Talking of the arena, I thought it looked pretty poor this year, compared to last year, as last year there was loads of angels hanging from the ceiling, and a big round lighting rig in the middle of the roof.
Plus this year the lasers were rubbish, and everyone loves lasers... disappointing!

Above and Beyond were excellent as usual.

I disappeared for Fergie and had a wander and got some food, and went back for Marco V, which was bloody fantastic!

I was gonna skip Jules aswell, but his second track was Life Less Ordinary (Rank 1 & Alex Morph) so it tempted me to stay, and I'm glad I did as it was pretty damn good!

Saw 20 mins of Ferry but left as I was getting a bit knackered.

Got some noodles and sat about for a couple of hours, intending to get back to Gods for Armin...

It started to rain, so we went back to Gods about and hour before Armin's start, heard a few classics from Oakenfold.

Armin was pure awesome from start to finish. Although it seemed to start of rather quiet.
Then the Gods tent started leaking.
Then all the lights went off and only the screens were working. And all the balloon things started deflating. I think the weather f*cked the arena a bit. It was quite funny seeing Armin erect an umbrella above the DJ booth!

Armin was on for two hours because of the lack of PvD, and then Eddie Halliwell followed. I caught about an hour of it, and then left. Then spent about a week (yes that's an exaggeration) trying to find my bloody car!

I took loads of photos and will get them online very soon, but for now, it's bedtime!

it was my first time at global and i was very dissapointed. Music was way to quiet in the gods tent. You could talk to people without raising your voice, and stu managed to call his mate over from about 20 meters away through a crowd of people because it was that quiet! The atmosphere was pretty dull in there when I was in there as well. poor old martin fucked his ankle and got taken off to hospital, hope you are alright martin... I also couldn't believe how many chavs there were. I was told there would be lots but I didn't realise it would be quite that bad. Carl Cox was easily the highlight of my night. He was fucking awesome.. first time I'd seen him and won't be the last. if it wasn't for him I would have left feeling totally ripped off, which considering I only paid a tenner to get in is pretty bad! We also caught a bit of BK live, which I quite enjoyed. Fatboy slim played a predictable but entertaining set, but again it was so quiet that it didnt really do anything for me, I guess that's the way with festivals. The laughing gas was very good... At the end of the day festivals like that aren't for me, I'd rather just go clubbing... Alot of other people seemed to enjoy it though so I think we can assume it's just my personal preference that stopped me enjoying it!

Sounds like the same problems that i had at Gods my first time years ago were still there. When i went, the sound system was garbage. It was all muffled and quiet in the GK tent, best comparision is it sounded like next door were having a house party. I went before the chav's invaded but i can imagine. The tent leaked when i was there, just in the middle, not the booth haha.

Martyn, did you have to remortgage for those noodles?

What a fucking night! I wish I went to a club instead.

The sound system was shocking at the gods tent. We were at the front and a few of us started the "turn it up" chant which Armin could hear. But when he spoke to the sound engineer fella, there was nothing that they could do.

A lot of the sets were so dull - although I only got there when Marco V was playing. It seems that everyone was playing slow stuff and it wasnt until Armin came on that I started really dancing.

It was a shame, because the speakers in the Gods tent looked way too small when you compare it to last years and that was killed the atmosphere. Bass was none existant too. I could chat in the middle of the floor to people without any problems which generally I can't without putting fingers in my ears.

Then the roof above the DJ box started leaking later as well as in the middle of the floor - then the lights stopped and with the poor sound really did kill what was left of the atmosphere.

Then people started saying that PVD wasn't turning up and I was thinking what else could go wrong.

I went to the Love Parade a few weeks back and the sound systems from the floats and the middle of the park were absolutely blinding for an outdoor event. And when you got between the relayed float and the speakers inside the roundabout it felt awesome, so much better than the sound systems I've experienced in most clubs. And for a free event thats amazing, but when you get stung £65 and listen to a muffled set after set it really puts a damper on your night. If there's one thing they should have got right was the sound system. It did look like the enginners were having all sorts of problems with lasers etc too.

Chavs - yeah fucking loads of them!!

And if things couldn't get worse, I ran over a poor rabbit on the way home.

By the sounds of it, im glad i didnt go now........£65 well saved!

With regards to Gods tent quietness, I don't think it was always that quiet, it seemed to suddenly be quiet for Armin's set, but I think it got a bit louder after about 45 minutes. He was certainly trying to get it louder, as he was definitely talking to a guy and gesturing to turn it up after he'd heard the "turn it up" chants.

To be fair, I still really enjoyed it, but that's probably because I rarely go clubbing, and ever more rarely go to see trance!

i got there about half an hour before then end of oakies set. the whole half hour was pathetic. he cant mix, and it was stupidly quiet! earlier for above and beyond it sounded great though! i guess they had to turn it down because of sound polution or some crap... but it really was ridiculous, i left the tent after 20 minutes of armins set because it was so quiet. felt sorry for him really. like i said though carl cox made my night.

In other arena's they may as well have had a £30 Aiwa hifi and matching speakers placed on a table at the front. In fact, that probably would have been better. Getting in and out of Stratford Upon Avon (especially out) is a mission. After a night out, I don't know about anyone else but all I want is my bed. If you come by car expect a 1 hour to 2 hour wait before getting out. And if you came by train expect either an even longer wait for a shuttle bus, or a good few mile trek back to the station. Queuing. Can't be arsed with this. Took about 2 hours to get in one year, and the organisation of it all was appalling. People pushing in all over the place. The chav's. Never encountered any problems myself, but then again I am usually with a massive group of friends. But I always come away and hear stories from others who encountered the scum of England. Why people would want to pay out all that money to go in and cause fights, vandalise, and just be a general nuisance is way beyond me, but it happens. £112 for all of that? Fuck off. I usually get into this for free, and even then I am always in two minds whether or not to go.
