You need a new sarcasm detector in 40 years english won't even be the dominant language -- white people will be the minority, not that that is essentially bad, but most of our "patrotic" americans are either dead in iraq or have left. Or they're just left wing lunatics that believe what we have done is 'good' barring the fact that everyone hates us (including iraq) and the casualties in iraq are more than 10x that of 9/11. Even conservatives agree that iraq was a horrible longterm decision.

It might not be the dominant. But it will still be around. It will always be around. Just because latinos come here doesn't mean they don't learn the language. At least their children will and they will be bi-langual. And yeah I agree. I'm leaving to Canada too. In 40yrs their population will grow by like 20million. As oppose to our 100million. Canada will have a lot of open space and if you have a good education you can earn more money than here in the states for the same position.

You honestly think that in 40 years the amount of people who use English in the USA as a first language will decrease by 40 percent, or that in 40 years our population will grow so much from immigration that only like 40 or 50 percent of the people here will speak English?

not really, i don't think we can sustain a half a million growth per year.

also, our salaries are lower than in the states with higher taxation rates but our quality of life is better. You need more money in the states to live the same kind of life we do here.
