They're both proven liers. You're preference of believing your side of the story is a clear bias of living in the US. Now the interesting question is, if you have that bias, wouldn't others also have it? And if you can understand this concept, wouldn't you also espouse the belief that this type of intimidation and warmongering doesn't amount to anything else than escalation which will surely be followed by more war, more instability, more hunger and more suffering. Notice that in that list you'll never find anything positive, as with all wars. No war has ever brought any good, only of course the spoils for the victor. And if that is the point, the spoils, why cover it up and pretend you're doing good? |
I kind of agree, but I'm way more inclined to believe members of nations who allow dissent and questioning of the government than those from nations where dissent is stifled and bloggers are jailed.
Also, Iran isn't doing themselves any favors by breaking Geneva Convention protocol by parading the UK soldiers on TV.
Lastly, for all the people storming the UK embassy in Iran demanding the heads of these 15 people, EVEN IF your maps and GPS were right, it was less than 1.5 miles, on water. For fuck's sake, they weren't spying, or even searching an Iranian ship. They could have just as easily contacted the British ambassadors and registered a complaint about the whole issue.
But then again, if they'd have done that, their profit from increased oil sales wouldn't be up an average of nearly $100 million/day.
