Hope tonight went well! Couldn't make it.

But I must say...that video, CHEESEDOG! lol. The text gradients, lol. I don't know if I love it or if I hate it. Probably would be an easy yes if it was the right front w/ a good color combo. But hey, it could be worse. Imagine you spent a lot of times on it, just need to get more experience (to get much faster at it while the production quality increases).

DaveT = Jaded video dude!

I could give some specific tips, but I'll just give one. Don't think too much about using all the little effects your editing program you can do and remember smaller & Simpler is usually always better. While you might think something the editor can do is neat because of the fact it can do it doesn't mean it always comes off well to the person on the other end. It's just today's culture of editing and how it's embedded in people's brains. If you watch a lot of TV, just pay attention and you'll be shocked as to how simple most editing is and when using basic text and simple graphics, how simple that is too. The focus is on color combos, and not effects. When everyone starts off trying to do videos like this, it's the most common mistake; Trying to do too much. And even though at the time we all started off and thought it was cool as hell (myself included), to most people it just has an instant cheesy/amateur feel.

And Serge works in the electronics industry? He sells Sony stereos or someting? lol.

One word about tonight....

INSANE.

Ima crash here in about 10 minutes.. but wanted to be the first from the AddictedSF family to Thank everyone for coming out last night. It has been a LOOOOOOOONG time since I have seen 1015 at the capacity it was last night.

To everyone who helped promote our event. You guys rock.

I and AddictedSF Crew member Stanley dropped Infected Mushroom off at SF Airport this morning.

Simply put, they love San Francisco.. The EDM scene we have out here and loved seeing the crowd they saw last night.

I can guarantee this.. It will not be the last time we see their return.

Although I had a more than great size crowd in the VIP room tonight. Ill remember this... NEVER EVER again choose a timeslot thats the same of Infected Mushroom. I missed em! I wont the second time around...

Well there is video.. So ill be watching that to experience it all..

TA's, those of you who were at my set thanks!

Crashin.. Full review in the morning when I wake up. Hopefully some pics and some video shown here too...

This was my first time seeing Infected Mushroom. Although their music is still a bit crazy, they put on a really good live show. I haven't seen 1015 jump like that in awhile. Every time the beat dropped hands were flying the air. I'm glad they played Becoming Insane! Love that track to death.

It was pretty loud last night. I thought my earplugs were gonna melt off!

Full Review

I woke up around 11:30 this morning. Freakin what a night.

Again, seeing new faces and the club packed like it was last night was definitely awsome. Knowing how Friday nights have been weak over the last couple years, Last night was something that the club needed in a while. A packed house. AddictedSF's first premiere party was done correct. The right promotions, the right crowd. It felt good...

I took on the task with AddicteSF member Stanley of picking up the Arists. After picking up IM from the Airport, we quickly rushed them to the club to do a sound check... All 4 members were hyped about the evening. I have never witnessed them warming up, so this was a definite treat. I watched as each member had their hand at a different instrument. What makes this group unique is their uncanny ability to change up. One member would play the guitar, another person on the drums, keyboards, another one on the mixer, and another member would sing. Then I watched as they exchanged instruments and fuckin went at. That was crazy.

We finalized last minute preperations, and props that surrounded the mainroom in all orange fire props. Our banners up,.. and last minute to-do's.. done, I noticed an influx of people as the doors opened.

The upstairs VIP setup was pretty unique. Faarsheed had requested 3 CDJ's, I had my laptop and CD's as well, and the sound was tuned by Marie so it hit hard. Everyone clammered upto the VIP and some filtered out when the mainroom opened. I went back and fourth between the mainroom and VIP to check on things as the night progressed and watched as the club started to fill. Going back upstairs I was greeted by a kick ass set by fellow AddictedSF member Thomas Phan.

TA's throughout the night filled the club., JD, and Andreiux I ran into and both were upstairs from time to time during the night. So many new faces and people, and some I recognized from Tiesto last weekend that got the flyer. The vibe was great, everyone having a good time and no one was pushy at all.

As Serge Devant eneded his set, 10 minutes before 1, the lights shined over to the stage as IM prepared for their performance. I wish I could have recorded what I witnessed next. It was pretty cool. As IM prepared to get on, a fan and various crowd members started screaming... I watched as the whole room turned their attention to the stage, sort of like a domino effect. Everyone had their attention on the stage. Serge continued to play and people were goin off looking the opposite way..but going crazy. Pretty cool.

I had 10 minutes to get back upstairs and start my set. I knew having the same timeslot as IM was going to affect upstairs. .. Well so I thought. We remained just as packed as the mainroom. Both crowds travelling back and fourth between the rooms.

I started off with House. Then progressed with progresive house, electro trance, tech trance, classic house back to progressive house. There were a few moments I dropped some prog-trance, but very minimal to get the crowd livened up, at most maybe 1 or 2 tracks. Needless to say, plenty of beautiful women throughout the night. Expecially coming up to greet me in the booth, which was cool. Wish I could have gotten some of their names but...

I had the pleasure of opening up the room for Faarsheed. The unique thing about the sound last night is it was on point, as well as a new sound to 1015 we havent really heard.

After my set, I noticed the room was packed more than ever and got stuck there waiting as Faarsheed was a tad bit late coming on, I dropped a few more tracks.. The time was now 2:48. As Farsheed came on, He asked that I drop the BPM's... I thought.. sure.. I went from 130 to 118, slowly.. and then thought, o my god how is this gonna sound.. Suprisingly, the tracks he played were bangin, even though they were at a lower BPM. Again goes to prove you dont have to play something at a high BPM to make it bangin.

Afterwards, I proceeded to the balcony to witness IM leaving the stage.. great I thought. I just fucking missed the whole damn thing. Then I noticed Arty and some of the other AddictedSf members to the right of the stage, and felt better, knowing Artimus recorded so I could watch it later.

I chilled for a while throughout the club, going back and fourth between the mainroom and the VIP again like everyone else all night.. Around 4:40, leaving so we can take IM back to the airport.

Once again, a big thank you and a round of applause to everyone who helped promote FIRE, and everyone for their support, and the love you showed to us all. I look forward to the next one. Theres so much more I want to say, but would like to hear everyones feedback as well. Hope everyone had a wicked time. I know I did.

\o/ Blurr

P.S Thank you to Rizo for the tracks. I loved 1983 and the gail in the o track you gave me. Can't wait to see the pics.

First off...on behalf of everyone in Addicted SF, we would like to thank everybody who came out for this event and made it such a huge success. We couldn't have asked for more! The night started well and ended even better. Serge Devant did a fantastic job opening up the main room. Infected ACED it!!!!! I haven't seen so much energy from the crowd at 1015 on a Friday like that in years. And of course, I hope everyone enjoyed my set.

I am still in shock that there was over 1200 people that showed up for this event on a Friday night. This goes to show that we as a crew are all being accepted by you, the most important component in the EDM scene, and for this we are all very thankful and promise to do our best from now on to hold up to your standards. Addicted SF is definately growing and we don't plan on bringing you anything less than what you saw on Friday.

So without getting into too much and having this end up like some novels that people on here write (ah hem...Blurr!!! hahaha) I just wanted to simply say....

THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH TO EVERYONE!!!!!

And especially to those of you that lent a helping hand. (you all know who you are) We will forever be in your debt.

Stay tuned and keep an eye out for the next flyer with the Addicted SF logo on it. You know it's gonna be huge!!!

wasn't expecting Rogerio, the drummer for IM, to come up and say hi to me then telling me he remembered me from EDC! at EDC he got to the stage earlier than everyone else so I got a chance to take a photo and talk to him that time but didnt think he would remembered me after that.

great night overall! the crowd was insane in a good way, no pushing or shoving like at EDC and everyone was nice. At the end some jewish guy talked to me in hebrew and i'm just like "uh i have no clue what youre saying" and he replied "no problem, youre still awesome" All of IM were kind of enough to sign my friends Liz album cover before they got on and afterwards they signed and greeted fans.

my only worry for this night was these 2 german girls but from northern italy that we met at playbar before heading to 1015. 1 of them took off leaving the other extremely worried

also blurr, next time please listen to tracks ahead of time. i didnt like how you brought in gail in the o but thank you still. i even danced for a bit with some random girl on the dancing platform

thanks again to 1015, fire and addicted SF!

Those are some kick ass pictures. I think this is your best work, especially the ones where you were on stage taking pictures of IM.

Great job once again!!!
