I saw this thread last night and I wished that I had one. My mom comes home today from work and sits on the couch and starts talking to herself while I'm on my laptop. She goes "this is how you open it, this is what you do, this is what you press". I'm like wtf is she talking about lol. I turn my head towards where she is sitting and she had a ipod touch screen on her hand.
She got me a 8gb one as a present. I thought it was an iphone at first so I got all excited lol.
But yeah, that's pretty cool - too bad we have to wait until January, but I don't mind not updating my firmware for a couple months.
The apps I have on it now are just ace - I actually check my email far more often on that than on my PC.
via wi-fi or just regular? with your apps to you have some sort of email notificaiton when you receive emails?

Yup, via any Wi-Fi network. I don't have notifications turned on, but it checks your email each time you turn it on (and it's able to connect to a network), and if you have a new email a number appears next to the mail app to tell you how many new messages there are.
Almost all of the "themes" released so far are utter fucking shit, I was, however, able to find a combination of a few I liked that I didn't think looked too tacky, lemme know what you think:

Finally figured out how re-order everything, and there are literally dozens of new apps released each week for this thing - totally recommend it to anyone.
Also, the jailbreak process has become very, very easy (the initial one took me about 2 hours to do - when I updated the firmware it took me literally 30 seconds to do it again).
