(Sander + Above and Beyond was solid..)
so is Menno + Ferry... IMO

true, just talking out of personal preference, but there is other trance DJ names that they can get (isn't there?)....

Armin has been the headliner for the past 3 years

Agreed! But.. I think (my opinion) they want to always have a dj being part of the top5.. so.. not that much choice.

Armin + Guetta are the "newbies attracting dj" ..

the number of "well-known" trance dj is very very limited

hence my point exactly about BEB, that its made of ALOT of people going to this event because they heard of these guys and are not into the scene like most people on this board

cause we all know DJ TOP 100 crap doesn't apply to being a good dj or not

Bal en Blanc is about money, not music. It's a business. If you book Armin, Guetta, Deep Dish, you will get more people because they know these names, or at least they heard of them.

If we talk about (let's stick to Trance here) more underground DJs such as, Thomas Datt, John Askew, Paul Miller, people here don't know these guys. We do, because we're into EDM music a lot here, but "regular" people don't. In fact, regular people just want big bass and a lot of chick. Myself, I'm way more about the music than the party itself. The event could suck totally (not enough people, weird crowd, lightshow is aweful, etc) but if the music is good, I'll have a good time.

But getting Menno (and last year Sander) is a very good thing. Menno isn't very known here. He's very big in Europe, but not really here.

My dream is still to have a Bal en Blanc with Djs such as Robert Nickson, John Askew, Mike Nichol and Thomas Datt. Less known DJs, but they deliver a hell of a show !

Neo hit the hammer on the penis-head

BEB, for 'regular' people (which are the majority) is about atmosphere, partying, and chicks wearing less clothes than supersex

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

Ppl need to realize that there are people out there other than TA's who actually do like the music, are in the scene but don't post on Tranceaddict, support DJ's bc of friendships or business relations, fuck I can go and on. But I think I might have to clarify what I meant in my statement above, when I hear that Armin and Ferry are spinning at BEB I automatically know that I will like the music so for me its just getting to the actual party really. I don't like Guetto shit or offer nissims genre of whatever they spin but I will deffo check out Calderone even though he has changed his style I still remember the amazing tribal this man banged out at a few parties I attended.....I would have even checked out the DISH if they were closing the house room this year.

Montreal for me is like almost going to Europe to party...get it?? If you haven't been to European massives then you won't understand where I'm coming from but I love them Any opportunity for me to get out of T.O for a massive I WILL TAKE!!!

Montreal happens to be closer and cheaper than spending $2000 on Trance Energy in Holland two years in a row, so I skipped that and BEB it is!!!

I know all the elements of a good party will be present to some extent, hence I get so fucking excited

i know what you mean, but your missing the point, the majority of people that attend BEB is the enjoy the party, with freinds, ect (refer to previous points)...

you think most people are like....oh my god oh my god Menno is going to spin...

there are people like u that want to hear good music they like but BEB has a following that is the party, the event, the name...

i believe that was trancegal's initial point

p.s happy for the hardcore fans that get the opp. to hear Menno, at least he's a new name on the ballet

good point, there is alot of people that know the music, that dont post on TA. Again, this isn't the niche market that BEB is known for or targeting, cause if there was many many people into trance and follow trance, events like Sensation would have been absolutely packed, and it was flop

Unlike any other event, people go to BEB cause its BEB, this organization has created such a good name for themselves that people just go, if it was armin 3 years in a row, if there was tiesto, any big name, wtv

and it is going to be a good party....btw where are u T.O peeps going to be?....i'll be lonely without Sylvie lollol

you think tiesto would have satisfied your trance needs?

you are aware that tiesto is currently playing more and more house in his sets mr.addicted-to-trance?

episode #49 of his ClubLife sets or whatever the fuck it's called, he plays: SNM - Itajai Vibes (WISE remix)...Can't get more housey than WISE.

episode #50: Green Velvet - Flash (original mix). Defo not trance but absolutely horrid techno.

episode #48: Robbie Rivera feat. Denise Rivera - Back To Zero (2008 Juicy mix)......absolutely horrid again but definitely not trance.

here's tiesto playing more house about a year ago...pitched up to around 131bpm:

here's armin playing full on prog (same track as above), not trance, about 6 months ago...played (surprisingly) at a normal, housey speed:

even armin and especially tiesto are getting the picture:

TRANCE IS DEAD!
