IDK I'D RUN TO THE DJ BOOTH AND LOOK @ THE SKY !!!

As for the green small laser, I think it was just a dude that had brought his own laser cause I saw him in the middle of the dancefloor with it ! lolll

it's funny, a lot of people mention all the sketched out people and i don't know why but a good chunk of people i was around were as sober as i was. i had no problem with the gay guys and no idea why others did, if someone keeps harassing you then yes i get it but their existence shouldn't be a bother . it's not like it's an event for straight people only.

as for the green laser, there was a guy in a wheelchair and his friend had a laser pen and I saw him using it during Armin's set.

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.

50% were ugly
42% were actually scarry

As for the organization, I think it is VERY well organized. It is a massive rave, line ups are going to be long. The problem with this year is, EVERYONE went early. Usually people show up between 11 and 6. Take all those people arriving at 12, trouble.

I agree. While sitting in the concourse below the washrooms, I saw plenty that looked unattractive with lights on, layer of dried sweat and cracked out eyes. There were a fair amount of fit girls but some should open a facedown.com account.

As for the organisation (or lack thereof), I think it was a mix of overselling and ppl showing up early, the latter based on last year combined with the luxury of cellular phones. I for one was getting all sorts of texts about the huge lineup and to come down to the Palais earlier than I'd originally planned to.

thanks for qualifying that.. indeed that is what they are saying as a big chunk of ppl (gay or straight) were stripped down by the late morning. It just means less idiots for many of us to deal with at Black and Blue if that is the mindset.

WELL THEN POST THE DAMN THING IN HERE (sorry, a hybrid Marcus, Zraw & Balenblanc-like post with CAPS)

anyways here it is

Dancers dig Bal bash
14th annual Easter weekend rave at Palais des Congrès features non-stop techno and house music - and some outrageous costumes
ANNE SUTHERLAND, The Gazette
Published: 9 hours ago
They could have danced all night. And they did.

Participants of the 14th annual Bal en Blanc bash came stumbling down the escalator at the Palais des Congrès at noon yesterday, many of them having partied for 12 hours and more.

"It was awesomely awesome," said Katie Gaye, 23, using a pacifier to calm her down

"The line-ups for the bathroom were annoying, though," Gaye said from behind dark glasses.

Sunglasses were de rigueur for most of the participants as was white clothing, some of it barely covering the basics of decency.

Piercings, tattoos, bikini bra tops and fishnet stockings were also abundant. Some women wore punishingly high stiletto heels while others chose sensible ballet flats for their hours of non-stop dancing.

The Bal en Blanc/White Party has been held every year for 14 years on Easter weekend. The dance party/rave features techno and house music spun by DJs and, unlike the largely gay Black and Blue rave, caters to a mixed crowd.

The all-night dancing started at 9:30 on Sunday in the cavernous conference centre which can hold as many as 12,000 people in one room.

Tickets for the White Party cost $100 - with an additional $4 tacked on for police services.

Montreal police officers were very much in evidence both inside the party and out. Signs posted by the lineup area warned there would be a compulsory search of all participants.

Twelve people were arrested for drug possession, and three more men were arrested on charges of drug possession with intent to sell, said Montreal police Constable Anie Lemieux.

Pierre Gagné, 46, turned up dressed as a Maori warrior, in a white, feathery headdress and low-slung, furry loincloth and matching boots.

"I've planned this costume since last year," said Gagné, who arrived to party at 10:15 Sunday night.

"I've got a baggie in here with my money and (driver's) licence so my money doesn't get wet from sweat," Gagné said, holding out the front of his loincloth.

His girlfriend, Louise Longtin, 45, was decked out as a Western belly dancer with studded white boots and a bra top.

"Sure, there were line-ups, but there are every year, it's not that bad," Longtin said.

But Travis Duncan, 37, was less than complimentary about a wait he said was three hours long to get into the event.

"We asked a guy about a refund, but no one was taking any responsibility or knew what was going on," said Duncan, a first-timer who said he would never come back to another of these events.

Outside the Palais after the ball, traffic-control police were keeping things moving on St. Antoine St. and doing their fair share of gawking at the skimpy outfits.

"She'll catch a cold dressed like that," one officer commented.

"I don't think she can feel the cold at this point," another laughed.

Had the BEST time!!!

(apologies ahead of time for the all-over-the-place review)......sleep deprived and not totally functioning yet ...........

We were lucky having VIP, we literally had zero line, and was past the security in less than 10 minutes. Got in line, after finding all of our friends, around 11:15-11:30 or so. Guess we JUST made the cut for the longest line in BEB history. Didnt even realize that people had to wait for soo long, because a couple friends of ours waited in the regular lineup, and it took them only about an hour?? Wanst like that in past years that I have been...never had a problem, even in the regular lineup......

This was my 5th Bal, and things were different this year (cons first):

Decor:

The decorations were clever, but lack luster. I come to BEB for the ambience of it all, and it wasnt the same in that sense. No huge, flowwy curtains in the massage area, no big lights, no crazy decor. However, that was my ONLY complaint. (oh wait, that AND no preach!! def sad at 9am when I realized my main man wasnt coming on as he usually does!!)

I went there for music and to see friends from canada, and that I did! I couldnt take the smile off my face. I was in absolute clubbing-sinful-heaven....and being around friends (old and new). Couldnt stop moving, dancing, laughing, reminiscing.....

Music:

Insomnia was great for the 20 minutes we saw her. IM is not my taste, but being in VIP and seeing the crowd go MAD had me truly hyped for the rest of the evening to come. They clearly had the crowd by the balls. We spent most of that time catching up with old friends, which was perfect...

Ferry is always my fav, and armin destroyed it!! I have never seen menno live and I was truly looking forward to it. I was a little apprehensive about seeing menno at 9am, because he usually plays a little fluffier than I would want at that hour. BOY WAS I F*CKING WRONG!!!!! (proof was in seeing Fahad and his towels going APE SHIT for 2 hours straight....you couldnt even TALK to the man!!) hahah!

Menno was AMAZING, and my energy was higher at 9-11am then it was all damn night!!! The three dutchmen destroyed with trance-classic-techy-mixed HEAVEN The flow was JUST PERFECT.....I LOVED that ferry dropped the classics (goryella, system F, etc) because it was the perfect trance-y buildup for the disaster that armin and menno gave us. wow. just wow. Never stopped dancing, and only took one break to the rest room....I was too afraid to miss anything!! Got to chat with ferry, and heard some amazing news from him Always a pleasure to catch up with him, so friendly and funny as hell! Menno is also such a sweetheart and very loving towards his fans He recongnized my TA name (lol, I heard it ALL night: "you're yankeebaby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WAAHHHH!!!")...........and asked if I was dissapointed in his set. haha! are you kidding? He was better than I ever imagined he could be and I told him so. haha the poor kid looked destroyed at 11;30 am and said he needed sleep BADLY!! Awesome energy from his set, jumping (all 6'9" of him!) up on the decks, and getting the crowd at insane levels!! I have NEVER seen either room so packed at 9am-12pm. I tried to go on the floor around 10am, and after 10 minutes of getting squished and jumped all over by the menno-mayhem, I was like "f*ck this, I got VIP for a reason!!)

Heard mixed reviews about the house room. Saw Ceasar, and he was pretty good. I was hearing about the house room getting DESTORYED about 2-3am from many friends, but I couldnt leave mr. corsten The finale of our night was Victor Calderone. What a perfect way to end the night. insane. I coulndt have asked for a better way to end. Nada called it tribal-tech. lol I learn something new everyday. I might have a new genre to learn about awesome.

Btw^^ I love the gays they are nice to look at and super friendly as long as you dont interrupt their blow jobs

People:

This year is the first year that I can say that the men looked better than the women. wow. I dont care who was gay or who was straight, my eyes were waaandering!! yummy tight white pants with gucci belts everywhere!! The women were hot until you saw the same "hot women" in the hallway at 8am. haha I, myself, looked pretty damn good for most of the night until the dancing truly took over....whoaaaa. sketchy 8am-bathroom-run-in with the mirror!! haha I didnt even recognize myself. lol

All in all, I am still smiling from the insanity of the event. INSANE toons, my fav DJ's, sooo many friends to catch up with (and even people from MTL that I didnt even expect to see!!).

Music 9/10
People: 9/10
Decor: 3/10
VIP: 10/10....sooo much space to dance and only 10 minutes of line

sooo many funny stories that I will inject once I remember. One of the best was people wanting to play with Wai's FRO ALL night. SKETCH!! The security searched for drugs like she had lice, the TV station did a full on interview about her wig and outfit, people were touching it, asking if it was her hair, and even searched for things IN it. Weird seeing people PAWING through your friends hair. tres sketch!!
