your interpretation is not necessarily true. If this company is really a good one (i.e. reputable and pay would be better than other competitors, based on your research) then I would ask the interviewer for some critical feedback, work on it, and apply again. You were not selected based on their demand at that point in time and based on the other candidates available. You have a different personality and skill-set that will differentiate you so find out what your weakness is, work on it, and I guarantee you you'll be in.
