Just like the years when the Block was 'Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition'? lol
You know, I never thought of Bloc as holding the balance of power... That can be very, very scary.
It happened before, can happen again.
And let me tell you that the CPC and Bloc work very well together in decentralizing this "country"... they do have lots in common and it's a match in heaven for me
by the way some predictions:

for the first time ever i think i'll pass on the debate... i can't even grasp the fact that they let in the Greens, as if it wasn't crowded enough in there...

Well, the Greens have been getting enough votes and a good percentage.
More I think about May, more she turns out to be something like Olivia Chow and is some sort of demagogue but we'll see. She'll either score some points, or do so bad.
Dion is going to look like a total buffon.
I want someone to ask question about environment. Will be funny watching 3 of the leaders say same thing using different words
So, if you exclude the 65 that are too close to call you end up with essentially the same house that we have now
Conservatives 118 = 48%, seats at disolution 127 = 41%
Liberal Party 72 = 29%, seats at disolution 95 = 30%
N.D.P. 22 = 9 %, seats at disolution 30 = 9%
Bloc Québécois 29 = 11%, seats at disolution 48 = 15%
Other 2 = .8%, seats at disolution 3 = .8%
Well worth a couple hundred million dollars.

I guess it's more the fact that he hasn't explicitly stated in this campaign what his views on it are. Just last month Dion publicly asked him to declare his stance on abortion but he actually hasn't done so since 2006. And while I don't think his views have changed materially, at that time he was likely expecting to win a minority government. Now we're looking at a majority and I want to be sure he commits again to not reopening the debate.
Here you go Skipper:
quote:
OTTAWA — Stephen Harper used some of his most specific language to date Monday in saying a re-elected Conservative government would not reopen the debate over the country's abortion law because there are too many other important issues to deal with.
“We have a lot of challenges in front of the country,” Mr. Harper said during an announcement about arts and fitness funding for children. “We have a difficult world economy, as we all know. That has to be the focus of the government and I simply have no intention of ever making the abortion question a focus of my political career.”
Mr. Harper said that while some members of his caucus, as well as some Liberals, would like him to make abortion a priority, “I have not done that in my entire political career. Don't intend to start now.”
