Yep, that's an important part of the style. It's designed to put you into a trance. If you want to produce a verse/chorus/bridge style of song, go with pop or rock.

I hate getting losing auctions on ebay for good gear. I guess no ADAMS for me this month.

That's my parent's attitude, tends to be somewhat discouraging
Dance music is called dance music because you dance to it. If you don't dance you won't understand.

I agree totally. Some of my favourite songs in fact probably aren't even that great. When I hear them the feeling i get is due to a memory linked to that particular song. Whether I was drunk in an underground club (trying to) break the floor listening to a hard trance track, or standing in a field of 20,000 chilling out to an epic breakdown, I hear that song again and put myself back in to that same situation.
But I could give one of those tracks to my mates and they would tell me the track does nothing for them because they don't hear the music in the same environment that I would.
I just read this back and it barely makes sense. Tried to rush it out coz my boss is about to kick my ass!!

When all the 'musicians' at university dont consider me a real musician because i write trance.
All they do is play other peoples songs, not quite as well as they were intended to be. Soemtimes I say "I like that what chords are they" and they are like 'er i dunno i just play them' because they are 'real' musicians.
Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

Dancing in general annoys me. When I see a club get going it reminds me of a scary scene in a movie involving insane asylums.
I do appreciate pro dancers.

- It really annoys me when people refer to themselves in third person when writing a thread for example when promoting their new track.
- It also really annoys me when people talks about their own track like "This is a MASSIVE choon! A really bangin' track, ready to completly DESTROY the dancefloor!! Get ready for this killer-release!! Soon in the shops world wide!!" It really makes me wanna puke. Disgusting.

When people use radio rips on their myspace, sort of annoys me a little, it just sounds so shit.

Another thing that annoys me is when my eBay ad says..
quote:
Please note that this auction is open to U.S. buyers only – no exceptions.
in the ad and...
quote:
This is a USA auction only.
in the Shipping & Handling section and I get questions like:
quote:
How much for shipping to [foreign county]?
Do these people actually read the ad? Makes you wonder if they even know what they're bidding on.
