This round seems to be forming up to be a massive fucking disappointment...
I am trying to cue this set, but Traktor seems to be beatgridding my tracks very strangely. I will cue and spin tomorrow, I just kinda got stuck in a few points tonight. Don't fear, I WILL complete this set.
See, I told you guys I would finish it! There were several pain-in-the-ass tracks, ones that weren't beatgrid friendly whatsoever. In particular, those tracks were Tenshi and 1998, where the beatgrid kept getting out of sync, so I found myself having to adjust the beatgrid manually during transitions. I wish I had 3 arms
Anyways, sorry for playing songs that have been beat to death for 10 years, but these are all my favorites. I mixed them harmonically. Enjoy!
Beam vs Cyrus & The Joker - Launch in Progress
Gouryella - Tenshi (Transa Remix)
Ferry Corsten - Sublime (Thrillseekers Remix)
Tiesto - Sparkles
Rank 1 - Airwave
Sasha - Xpander
Ian van Dahl - Castles in the Sky (Wippenberg Remix)
ATB - Summer
Veracocha - Carte Blanche
Binary Finary - 1998 (Paul Van Dyk Remix)
Pulser - Cloudwalking
Kaycee - Escape
Darude - Out of Control
Not really "classics" I was thinking maybe up to 1998 max. But a lot of familiar tracks I haven't listened to in a really long time so why not for some nostalgia.

Yeah, I don't really see 98-00 as "oldschool" either, especially knowing that trance originated in 91-92. But either way, it's my fault for not pointing that out in this thread to begin with.

Eh, they're classics in my book, since these are some of the first trance songs I had ever listened to. I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed spinning anything produced earlier. I'm not a big fan of Cafe Del Mar, I'm sure you were expecting to hear that one thrown on there

It's actually very simple to get every single track beatgridded correctly. Unless, of course, it's a very bad vinyl rip made with shitty turntables that speed the record up or down. Send me a PM and I'll show you how to beatgrid them properly

Sure, the deadline was supposed to be tomorrow (had a little typo in the first post) but with like half of the people not posting a mix at all there's no point in bitching about a few hours anyway.

and yeah, that's what mainly made me buy cdjs and a mixer. beatgridding ,warping and whatnot on traktor and ableton felt like a tedious chore to do with every track. that and mixing with software only just feels soulless to me.
