Absolutely not. But I think the way you came about a lot of your posts made you come off as defending the club for not doing what we suggested (at least in regards to the ear plug nonsense). All RJ was trying to do (I think) was to give a voice to the patron to let the club owners hear what they had to say. If they decide to take our suggestions great, if it turns out it's more illogical for them not to, so be it.

Nah, it's probably because your hearing is damaged because no club ever gave you earplugs.

Seriously, my ears often ring after FW. More often than it is subjective to the patron, it's just dependent on the DJ.

I do agree you are thread shitting though and your replies to this thread would be infinitely better received/discussed if you took the tone down a notch. Also, no club owner is going to sift through all of this back and forth to find the few posts of worthy feedback at this point.

This argument is starting to run in circles.

Can we all just agree that SOMEWHERE in the club, they should sell cheap pairs of earplugs for those of us that forgot ours at home or couldn't go home to get them before arriving? ANY reasonable patron who uses earplugs should be willing to pay for the item, since, like, you know, the club has to pay for them first.

Unreasonable = FREE earplugs

Perfectly reasonable = Earplugs for sale

Anyone disagree? Take it up with Jay

belgrade, capital of a "3rd world country" (mother******s), #1 party city in the world according to the lonely plant.

shittiest parties in clubs that cannot compare to any of clubs in toronto will set you back at least 60 $ canadian. beer 10-15$. glass of orange juice 7$.

i think we have it pretty fucking sweet in toronto.

Wow, Belgrade #1 "party" city in the world according to Lonely Planet? Who is Lonely Planet anyways, and since when are they some "party" authority? I don't need some travel/tourist group telling me what are great places to party.

Furthermore, I was talking about *clubs* specifically, not parties in general.

If you really want to go down this route, we can. Toronto, as with clubs, is pretty bad in terms of overall parties in the city compared to top party cities in the world.

Montreal destroys Toronto in terms of parties, whether it's clubs, festivals, bars, restaurants, events, etc.

I don't know much about Belgrade, but I'm sure not every club there costs $60 Canadian. Belgrade is just one city. I already named several cities that destroy Toronto in both clubs and parties in general. Do you want me to keep going?

because, if you expect them to take care of that health care aspect/over the top customer babysitting, dont you think that would open up a pandora's box :

-strob light and lasers can cause seizures, take 'em down.
-stop selling booze, there may be drunk drivers after the party.
-airport like security, because people bring drugs in for personal use/profit.
-no shirt, no shoes, no service.
-free water and extra security for dehydrated/fucked up/thirsty but no money customers.
-face masks for customers who look sick.

and so on.

once you leave your door, you know very well what are you getting yourself into. and if you dont take good care of yourself, why should anybody else??

selling earplugs at the coatcheck, good idea. handing 'em out for free???? pft.

I'm not saying it should be for free, if they do that it's cool I wont' complain but comparing earplugs to what you were talking about is quite a stretch...it's not SUCH an extreme I think...
I'm not saying they should take ownus or responsibility for everyone there as it's MY responsibility to bring earplugs just in case but it would be a NICETY...what's wrong with that?

Your "club-owner ball-washing" responses (BTW: looking for more work? need a raise? trying to keep your job?) certainly create an obvious and apparent conflict with most of the points you are making (not only in this thread and many others).

The point of this thread is to stimulate ideas (brainstorm) on ways to improve clubs and clubbing experience. Some of the ideas will be more reasonable/possible than others. They don't all deserve your obtuse retort and aggressive tactics; idea generation and the creative process is one of construction, not destruction.

In typical fashion you shit on it all, degrading the discussion to you arguing everything vs. providing any sort of contributory idea (there is a difference between argument and debate - but I wouldn't expect your type to recognize that).

Food/Snacks/Gum/Mints

Dear Mr. Club Owner,

It would be great to have the ability to buy food or snacks while at the club. Gum and/or mints would be great as well.

Spending long hours in the club can make someone hungry or in need of a nutrition boost (or even just fresh breath).

Having fruit, granola bars, chocolate bars, chips or something of substance to purchase would be nice for those times.

Thank you.

(I know some clubs offer this, but it would be nice if more did, even in limited supplies. Pizza is not always the best option late at night)
