I probably wouldn't use it unless you can confirm that it's refundable. If you do find a promo code for refundable rooms let me know!

I searched yesterday and couldn't find anything. I found one on some website, but when I tried to enter it there was no discount applied.

Hey folks....I thought I read somewhere that The Old Miami wasn't having an event this year?

Anyhoo..I'm new to the forum but have been going to DEMF for the last five years. I stayed at the RenCen last year and while I found the proximity to the festival appealing the stay itself was merely average. Nothing particularly bad but everything was pretty much closed in the center and felt rather lifeless and then when I came out to the festival everything felt real scaled down (economy duh) too. Even though the promoters say over 80,000 people came to the festival I know it was merely spin. Every time you came in the gates you got clicked. And since I was at the RenCen I came and went multiple times. I still had a good time though...

I have a reservation at the Westin Book Cadillac this year, but I may opt for an apartment/ loft in the downtown area. Might not be in short walking distance but I can probably hoard more people in the apt w/o issue and cook. I also buy VIP tix so I may decide to see where paxahau is going to have a slot of rooms.

Just an FYI...I stayed there this past weekend, and security is pretty tight. You need a room key just to run the elevator.
