K TA's I have an office in Victoria B.C. and I just read this whole post. I am currently running a business and there are a lot of admin/finance/marketing etc. aspects to starting up a record label. I will be taking e-business in the near future at university and I am currently studying business. Before you all start making donations you might want to think of investment instead. I would love to handle Canadian operations if this is going to be a serious thing. I know a lot about the business aspects of stuff and if this does take off it could be big it's just all up to us to make it happen.

I don't wanna get carried away here.. but I was just getting to think that when and if this TA label goes through and becomes a big hit in the WORLD in about 4-5 years, people will wonder how this massive label came up...
and will come and actually read this forum here
.... THIS IS HOW IT AAALL STARTED!!
hehe

I cant believe i only just found this! 11 pages l8r and maximum respect to all of yous. I'd love to know how i can help in creating this dream. Although i have no special skills i have done compilations in the past and will help in anyway possible. And why hasnt swamper said anythin yet?
anyway big up's all round.
not to be a downer guys but 4000pounds for a vinyl cutter is just not possible...unless it is an acetate cutter only (the records are only playable for about 20 plays) i just finished reading an article about cutting vinyl and it said they usually go for at least 20 grand US!! I would definitely advise contracting that part of the process out! i can tell you now that labels are just offices and that you spend most of your time on the phone talking to the record stores pushing and getting the stats of your vinyl sales!! i interned for logic records NY for about two months a while ago. any other questions feel free to email [email protected] anything i can do to help...
