Not mine, usually. I have family from Philadelphia, so obviously they think everything I say sounds weird (but THEY'RE the weird ones! ).
I guess something that I've noticed with people from Rochester is with the "a" sound in words like "plaza" or "salad." It's hard to describe, but the first a in those words almost comes out like (and this is exaggerated, I just don't know how else to describe it) kind of an "ay" sound.
The other one I've heard other people point out, although I don't say it this way myself, is "water." People around here kind of say it with an "ah" sound. I've always thought it should be more of an "aw" sound.
My family in Philly seem to think the Rochester/Upstate NY accent is a lot like the Midwest/Minnesota thing, dontcha know.
