Thoughts on Adam Beyer live? Im going to see him live for NYE this year along with Sasha, Art Department, and Damian Lazarus at an event called and i quote "LA hearts techno", nevermind that 3/4 djs arent techno djs that being said, i def like his productions and im excited to see him live. We dont get much techno in socal, at least techno that a working person can see driving up to la on weekends.

he plays 4/4 music.

he played an extended set in mtl once and really was not happy. he was used to 2 and out.

I don't really get the hype behind LIES. Good to see Hessle up there, they're one of the few UK "bass"/dubstep labels that has stuck to what they believe in, instead of making boring watered down house or techno. And unlike others, they're still doing new/fresh stuff instead of clamming to the 7 year old halfstep template.

PAN is 2exPerImentAl4me. Although I thought the Lee Gamble jungle tapes thing was interesting. Hinge Finger is pure hype but they had some big (hyped) tracks so I guess they belong there.

50 Weapons is probably my favorite label this year. They release fucking everything, stylewise but still have a certain aesthetic and high overall quality. It's great, the label feels like they just invite all their friends to have a big party and in the process the artists put out some really interesting stuff they probably wouldn't otherwise.
