yeah, im gonna see him at id&t again tomorrow for asot xxl with signum. which reminds me, if someone feels they have a good enough track they want armin to hear, get it to me before 18.00 gmt. i'll burn a cd.

i can't promise he'll hear it or react to it, up to you.

and please don't waste your own time, my time and his time. if your track sucks, i wont burn it. probably not the best place to post this but wtf.

pm me about info on this so we dont mess this thread up with non-remix contest matters.

cheers,

robert

Hey, did you mention the remix comp to him when you went? And what was his reaction?

I'd really like a high quality acapella

After much review on my headphones, I've come to the conclusion that both are REALLY bad.

The first one that was ripped off Real Audio suffers from typical low encode artifacts (listen to the noise in the SSS sounds). Not to mention that the levels are way off, the vocals have no 'impact'.

The second one (vinyl rip) is even worse because of vinyl clicks/pops/noise, though the levels are better, but with that many artifacts it's just as unusable. I don't know what equipment you guys have, but on my HD600's the lack of quality is more than noticable.

you can make good use of the second acapella, if you EQ it a bit (a lot) stop complaining people

"Managing" isn't the point, I can use the acapella fine, but it seems that I am the only one concerned with the actual quality of the track.

To add the vocals in the state they are currently would take away from the track.

Sure you will and I can. Listen to the Above & Beyond mix, the vocals are crystal clear, very smooth, yet the track is very busy as far as percussion, synths, and effects go.
