Hi all,
I arrived at here at Waterloo just a couple of hours ago. I didn't have time during the weekend to go on Ta. I brought my friend to see Talla from Waterloo. He absolutely loved it, he's an exchange student from Germany, so he already knew Talla from before. The rest of my weekend was great.

-I just wanna say a couple of things, Talla was great. It was my first time seeing Talla, awsome.
-The TA's were great. Nice meeting all of you: (sorry if i forgot to mention you, and in no particular order) Hordash, Desidel, Durafei, Tatgirl , Endlesswave, the rest of you. I glad you all had fun. See you all again, definately
-Its weird I made it to the Coffee place across the street at around 11:00 but noone was there, then we waited till 11:30 and no-one was there, well.. noone that I could recognize, so then we left and luckly got in before 12:00 for price of $5 less.
-The party didn't start until about 1:00. The whole night was awsome. Hartec you were great. Also welcome to Ta. Talla was great as I said. I dont think I will elaborate much. I danced, smiled and uncontrolably held my hands high, what else can be said...
-Tatgirl, also everyone else, I left at aroung 5:30, I was giving a ride to a friend. Sorry I didn't say bye to some of you. I was looking for people for 5-10 min and made a couple of cicrles through the club to find you but I was unsuccessful. Maybe you were in the lisenced area... see you next time, without a doubt.
-I'll add more whatever comes to my head.

-The prog vs non-prog crap is just crap. You guys have enough Trance experience to know that there is no conflict in Trance. All Trance should be given respect, no matter which one you like, because if you talk negatively about a certain Trance genre then you are no less of a 'Gino' then the typical 'Gino' we stereotype.

Thats it for now.
-Me

hee hee! I get a smiley face Nice meeting you too- hope to see you soon.

Yeah, the prog vs trance thing (and the bickering over who or what is better) is getting SOOOOO old. To each his own. I love it all (except drum 'n bass, but I'M not gonna bash anyone for loving it).

Ok here's my review...I'll make it short since pretty much everything has been covered.

The good:
Music, unity of the crowd, the vibe was definitely there
The lights and setup
The fact that venue wasn't overly packed.
Meeting Talla & getting CD

The bad:
NO CAMERAS...that's total BS!!!!!!! Least the club can do is WARN in advance. Or better yet, make some sorta arrangement with peeps that wanna bring cams.
It was kinda hot in there...leaving some exit doors open wouldn't hurt, especially since there WERE bouncers by them.

Now some input on what has been said:

Asians not dealing to non-asians? Can't agree, been offered everything by all kinds of people. Same goes to non-asians not being served at last call. I had no probs getting drinks whatsoever right b4 2am.

Talla sucked/party sucked/etc...People...if you can't have fun at a party like that - I really have no clue where you can have fun. Everything has been there, if you didn't enjoy yourself it has nothing to do with Talla (who in fact was amazing -crowd is the proof...people were going fucking insane!!!) I admit, I expected something harder, but his choice of tracks was great and I enjoyed every moment of it...as for fuck-ups - what kinda fucked up perfectionist do you hafta be to even mention that? Or has it lately become popular to count how many times a DJ fucks up? I go to clubs to hear good tunes, not to count how many times any1 messes up or get pissed cause a certain track wasn't played.

As for Digweed...had it not occur to any1 that the statement may be more in SUPPORT of Talla (that people picked his party instead of hitting Digweed) rather than to put down Digweed himself? Why do you guys always look at the bad side of everything?!

Progressive vs non-progressive...LOL...eh, muh jungle ownz your breaks any day!

Props to Temporal Rhythm for making the contest, also huge greets to every1 whom I've met at the party. If any1 of you guys wanna hit Viva sometime on a special night (or not) or put faces to nicknames add me to your instant messenger:

HOLY FUCK!!

That night totally ruined me. After reading some of these other reviews I'm begining to think i was more fucked up then I thought I was. But if there is one thing we should already know and if not learned from such threads as this is: FUCK what other people think!!

The bottom line is that I had one of the best nights ever last friday!

First and foremost this was a TrancEaddict party. EVERYONE who was there who did not fit the stereotypical model of the regular crowd was affiliated with TA in one way or another. As a result the vibe in there was INCREDIBLE. TA massive rocks!!!! Its just so amazing to be dancing your ass off and look up to see someone you know half way acroos the club doing the same thing. And as you look at each other you pump your fists in the air at each other and then go back to lighting the floor on fire.

As the for the music? Viva is hands down the best night out in Toronto. Why? Because they play pure TRANCE!! No pussyfootin' around the genre like other places do. Pure unadultered trance in my pants for 8 hours... Can you say heaven? Hartec and Ivals rock and next time ppl should give then more of a chnace. I stayed till the bitter end and was probably the last TA to leave. The vibe in there quickly changed as everyone left.

As for Talla I think he played some amzing tracks. In fact I loved every minute of it. Unfortunetly he did play a set similar to his Trance Energy set which I felt was more "anthemic" and "mainstream". I was hoping to hear as set more similar to his at Level in Miami (George Acosta Bday bash). But alas, beggars can't be choosers and Talla definetly had me begging for more!!

As for the whole FUCK DIGWEED thing. I thought it was hilarious and anyone who takes offence to such trivial things needs to check their own attitude. Personally I know I would not have have had the night I did if I was at Digweed. Talla and Trance is where its at for me. I'm really happy Digweed put on a great show! The Prog heads have needed something to prove to themselves how much they love progressive after recent disappointments such as SASHA.

In the end its all about finding a beat that moves you. And once you find it don't stop moving. I know I didn't stop all night and my body thanks me.

NOW WHERE ARE ALL THE PICS??????????????

bingo! i couldn't have said it better...

great seeing and meeting all TAs out that night!

special thanks to itikia for the hook ups. i wish i was able to speak more that night, but that last and final beer from you just put me over the edge. and then, it is impossible to talk on the dance floor. but overall, a great great night!

really looking forward to (i'm admitting this) armin on 12/13 then tiesto on 12/14. currently listening to armin from GodsKitchen Eden Ibiza (part 1) [27-08-2002] and he is playing some mix of for an angel...yummy. i think he played it at glow back in september too...

see you all soon!!!

On the 1st topic- ok, maybe it was just that one person's experience- maybe he did look 'too much like a cop' after all. But that last call thing did happen to Sober24-7 one nite- he stood at the bar for 5-10 mins as the bartender overlooked him the entire time & served ever asian there, until it was past last call & then rudely told him it was over & walked away.

2nd topic- yeah, u hit that one on the nose. THANK YOU. If we had typed in "Fuck the Kool Haus" do u think he would've gotten it? LOL.

You are one HarDcorE MisS! NYC on the 13th and Toronto on the 14th?

Caryn your ethusiasm rocks and we are honoured that you are willing to sacrifice your health to party with us.

I too am sick this monday... Just a small price to pay for nights like that.
