As much as any guy says that they don't thrive off of the attention of girls, they do. Not only that you have to deal with band practices - all the time. Emergency band practices. Band going on "road trips". Groupies. Girls constantly throwing themselves at your boyfriend (and yes, even the BEST of guys, even the SHYEST of guys, get pulled into this eventually). Band parties. Your bf WILL get egotistical, no matter how down-to-earth you think he may be. IF you're lucky, you'll form a band-girlfriend group with other girls to keep an eye out on your men for one another, but the stress it causes just isn't worth it.

Dealt with it for years. Myself, and all the other girls, have sworn off ever dating anyone in a band again.

Mind you, my best friend is in a band as well - and even though he just got married and his wife is pregnant, she still goes to all the shows to keep the ladies in check
