uh, i'm a little confused as to how i "exploit my horniness." please show me in which posts of mine i have exploited this so-called "horniness". if you want to defend all the nasty hornballs on TA, go right ahead, but i am certainly not one of them. and btw, how does having britney spears tummy as my avatar mean i am exploiting being horny? can't i have a sexy body part for my avatar without it relating to sex? and for your information, i am NOT horny....my man takes care of me. |
well alright, since you asked
i defend no hornball on ta, im trying to get at the gender dynamic on this and any online forum. everyone knows the majority of users are guys, and that they are the kind of guys who are easily excited by a female (especially a new one) in their midst and will give them a lot of attention. this is particularly true if the girl is perceived to be very cute or overtly embodies sexuality.
i think there are definitely people that are smart and realize this dynamic and use it to their advantage. this is manifested in the presentation of their gender and/or sexuality. in your case, i see your avatar and sig as quick reference to the fact that you're a girl (with a nice tummy) and want to make sure everyone knows it. as an example of the opposite, take klingklang, who i didn't know was a girl (hi lisa!) til i was told so. for the aforementioned guys, a very sexual (ie talking about horniness and particularly bisexuality-suggesting comments) girl is the pinnacle of what grabs their attention on a messageboard.
so in short i think some of the 'horniness' brought out on ta is a result of a desire for attention by the targets of said 'randyness'. notice i'm saying not all, but a portion. so if you're gonna talk about how you need sex (see a few pages back) and want to hook up with girls, just know you'll get plenty of attention.

ps - no, you can't have a sexy body part as an avatar without it relating to sex. hence "sexy"

1. i'm not bisexual, nor have i ever said i wanted to hook up with a girl. (altho i have admitted to my obsession for britney spears)
2. i want to clarify that just because i have her tummy as my avatar, does NOT mean i am screaming for attention to people to know i own that stomach. if you have met me, you will see that my tummy is prolly the opposite of britney spears, and in no way have i ever claimed my avatar as my own.
3. just because i use little cartoon dolls in my sig to show that i'm a girl does not mean i am starved for attention and want it from the horny freaks that populate over 90% of TA. it means that i am very girly, and like them. they're pretty!!
4. i dont even get attention on TA....which is something i am completely fine with. i am extremely happy with aaron, and if i wasnt, then i would be feeding into all these guys "randyness." honestly, ill admit, when i first joined TA, i was flattered and even a little overwhelmed with the guys response...but then i remembered that they dont know me as a person, and therefore can't properly like me for who i am. yes, i remember posting awhile back that i needed sex, but keep in mind, where i posted it. i thought the PPR was for that little gang we had all established, so i felt like posting it there would get a response back from the people i knew. if i truly was an attention whore, or wanted to exploit my horniess, i could have easily made a thread in the chillout about how damn horny i was.....that would have initiated an overwhelming response from the hornballs.
5. sexy = horny? no. sexy relates to the sexual aura a woman or a man holds....and i think i can be sexual at times, but in no way do i flaunt it or exploit it. i'm a little surprised that you would even claim such a thing. being sexy can either be tasteful or tasteless...and i think my avatar is not trashy in any way.
i dont want to come across as a bitch, but keep in mind, saying that a woman is overtly flaunting her sexuality is the same thing as being called a slut pretty much. and with me, that doesnt sit well...so i hope you see my points, and i also hope that you will judge me a little better than one post i made 4 weeks ago when i was badly missing my boyfriend.

i think i miscommunicated a little. reading it over i see it seems i singled you out, when i was trying to make generalizations and just take your av and sig as an example. i'm not saying you're attention craving, and i know aaron keeps you happy

im not sure where i said that sexy = horny, all i said was that sexy is related to sex or sexuality which seems to be the same thing you're saying.

im sorry, i did not connect overtly flaunting sexuality with slutness. this flaunting im talking about amounts to understanding the gender dynamic and using it to an advantage for whatever end, be it attention or just personal satisfaction knowing there are guys eating out of (her) hand. nobody is stripping or giving sexual favors ... yet and you dont come across as a bitch, just someone who likes to stick up for herself.
