hey muscleheads. i got a question.
is it true muscle weighs more than fat? i mean, it's denser n shit.
so, i'm at an MMA gym yesterday, training BJJ for the first time (i'm a striker with no ground game so far). so, i'm a slightly large individual, 6 feet tall, got a bit of a gut to me, but i wouldn't go out and call myself overly fat. i got no pics of me other than in a tshirt, so this will have to do:

i'm the guy next to the 2 girls. i know i look wasted, fuck you.
the point is, these guys are HUGE. like, i look like a puny somalian kid next to them.
we are doing drills, where we an in guard position (image below) and i had to try and get out (being on the bottom, executing a closed guard is the dominant position, being inside the guard puts you at risk).
so like, i have no technique. but when i tried to move, i was basically picking these guys up. i ask how much the instructor weighed (built like a fucking tank, and like a half inch taller than me) and they say 180. i think that's pretty light, and they look at me like i'm crazy. i weigh 230 for god's sake!
am i harboring a ball of lead in my stomach that's weighing me down, or what? i mean, i don't understand how guys who are very much larger than me, out of muscle, weigh so much less than me.
