Well ok lets look at it from this perspective. How many press people have the americans killed and how many "friendly fire" deaths? And what percenatge of the whole population of Iraq is press people? And are these press people "a threat".

Edit: What I mean is I will bet that the US has killed more press people than any Iraqi "insurgants".

I don't know if you are being sarcastic but who told you they were CIA in the very first place. At any rate they are already dead and the U.S. needs to get the f*** out of Iraq. I am disgusted with Iraq, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and North Korea for that matter. There is nothing but a stream of negative news coming out of these places practically everyday in varying degrees.

The U.S. can do no right and everyone else does nothing but stand by and critic at a given opportunity. I can't stand Bush as much as the next guy and will vote Kerry but it is true what they say, there is a critic born every second. Hurry up June 30th and give back the Iraqis their nation so they can kill each other without wanting to take part in any peaceful political process. My rant for the day.

Apparently you know how the troops are supposed to differentiate civilians from the idiots over there. They dont know who they're fighting against. Anyone and everyone could be the enemy trying to kill them.

It's quite easy if shot at shoot back. If shot at and you start shooting back make sure of your target don't just shoot back at anyone and anything.

Dude, once you get shot at, it's probably too late. This isn't a hollywood movie where the enemies can't aim their guns and fire 15 shots at you without ever hitting you. If you wait for them to fire, you're probably going to die.

And if the Americans said the British soldiers were "in the way", and that is the way British soldiers think, then I can understand the American position, since they probably have to spend half their time protecting those idiots who refuse to fire at anyone because they *just might* hit a civilian.

I'm surprised - for someone with so many friends out there in military service, you seem to have no conception, not even an imagination, of what it's like to be out there.
