Ok, judges...
Think individual categories to use and rate on would be useful. Or at least a set criteria? Also, I personally lay a lot more emphasis on ideas/originality/emotion etc. over technical skill in rating a track than maybe others do.

Input anyone?

that should answer your question neil

Only that I'm really,

code:
(count=1) (repeat) say "really, " (until count = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000)

hoping technical ability isn't important to the judges I think one of the criteria should be how good an anagram of Pads the producers name is....

If you can't upload your remix, it's probably because of some firewall or something else. I don't know, but all I know is that people have submitted remixes successfully so far and some people haven't. If you're one of those people that's having submission trouble, find a place online to post your remix and PM me the link to your remix, and I'll get it.

maybe you can try to send it directly to stan via AIM, maybe even email,
and then he will take care of it?

just a thought.

if anyone cares, the judges used the following point system in the last competition:

- Originality/Creativity 20

- Sounds and Effects 30
> Percussion 15
> Other (Synths, bleeps, etc.) 15

- Arrangement 50
> Basic Layout/Structure 25
> Final EQ/Mastering 25

Total: 100

Looks good as far as categories go..personally, I think 20% of the rating is a bit weak for originality/creativity but that might just be me.

Agreed. I think it should be level with Sounds & Effects at 25 each.

I suggest more like:

- Originality/Creativity 30

- Sounds and Effects 35
> Percussion 15
> Other (Synths, bleeps, etc.) 20

- Arrangement 35
> Basic Layout/Structure 15
> Final EQ/Mastering 20

Total: 100

It's hard, but I just think originality should be worth the most or at least equal to the most.
