while, the hammer style curls do help with the forearm as does any other db excercise, the primary muscle it works is the bicep.

aye. I just do it as a "might as well get the forearms in this too" kind of thing. Not a focused exercise. Ive found flies, hammers, rope crunches, and tricep rope extensions to give em a good enough time. They are pretty damn strong and solid, but not massive...one day hehe. forearms always just end your gym time lol
