It's not really another breed of person as much as it is another breed of people. This is the new generation - the more young people in a forum, the more commonplace this is. By general forum standards, TA is very very mild when it comes to flaming.

And it IS 'only the internet'. If it's much easier to insult someone online, it is much easier not to take offence and completely ignore it because it's just so much easier for someone to insult you (kinda circular logic here).

I, for one, almost never get offended online. Call me a fuckwad, asshole, asshat, retard, or any other combination online, and I totally won't care and/or remember it even. In person though, totally different story.
