Your pathetic logic, suggests that if we follow anything through thick and thin, we are all sheep. Van Dyk has had major peaks and some downright stinkers, that makes you a sheep if you supported him. Hence also a hypocrite.

We could talk all day about your tastes, but my response to those will not be the same as your response to this thread, because theirs a fine line between us. You beleive its "cool", "neat", "trendy" or whatever adjective you choose, to like the oldskool artists and DJs from circa 2000, anything recent is there to be bashed, to be sniffed at and torn to bits simply to raise you to the leet status you want.

What are you even going on about? You don't know me or what I listen too. Following a DJ/producer through thick and thin, no matter how shit the tracks they churn out are, makes you a sheep, and thus an idiot as well. These people are not football teams. You are right, Paul van Dyk has had some major peaks and also some shit times as well, and funnily enough during those shit times I don't listen. Christ, such the hypocrite I am! Oh, wait..

You are a joke. The stupidity of your posts on these forums always provides the means for a bit of mild entertainment for me.

And the bitter irony of you categorizing all of Airbase's work in the same negative cliche shows here.

I have so much people against me it seems. Does this happen to other producers as well in other topics or am I the only one?

The haters and lovers tend to even out for all artists.

It tends to happen to those who make cheesy, happy epic trance.

I don't like any of Airbase's music over the last 3 years, but I do respect the fact that he can produce better than I can.

Er yes, I see. Slight error there. I wonder why I listed that track twice.

Why is it that people who don't like an artist simply can't keep quiet and make tranceaddict a nice place? No wonder I stopped hanging around here, I guess I'll just do that again

meh

voicing negative opinions is one thing

doing it all the time & making it abusive is another

mind same goes for voicing positive opinions, and then doing that all the time & elevating it to an arselicking standard

think both sides are bad as eachother in this thread

and on topic, i think he's a solid producer considering he specialises in a genre where originality & creativity typically play second place to following a formula. there's a fair bit of variety throughout his discography to make me believe he has passion for what he's doing, though there are a fair few productions i'd call a bit too generic. i think the whole quitting thing was a bit of an attentionseeking act either way.

my favs would have to be the original mp3.com versions of Dreamer & Runaway... have become classics now in my opinion. Moon (later Rah) - Wave, also impresses me still, very different. and newer trancers like The Flute & Widescreen fit my tastes quite nicely... driving & uplifting. and i'm liking what i've heard from the Parc alias recently too... right up my alley & shows an attempt to diversify, which i'd probably approve of regardless of my tastes

but yeah that's my 2c
