I think Wilkerson has the potential to be a really good player. He is young enough, he plays fairly decent defense, good power and great OBP. In Texas... wow. He could be a force. I really can't wait to see what their stats end up looking like.
I will also find it interesting to see what the Red Sox do. As of now, I'm thinking:
1B: Lowell
2B: Loretta
SS: Who knows?
3B: Marte/Youkilis
Though, they could keep Lowell at third and let Marte develop some more. But yeah... I think Marte is going to be great.
I really, really, really hope Omar's done with the big ticket guys though... Well... as long as he can keep Milledge and Heilman while doing it.
Read on ESPN that the Rangers are trying to trade Wilkerson. So who knows where he might end up. He did hit 32 HR's two years ago in Montreal.
That infield for Boston doesn't look that imposing, just compare it to the Yankees. However, I know it won't end up that way, there will be some surprises I think still.
1B: Lowell vs. Juiceambi
2B: Loretta vs Cano
SS: Blank vs Jeter
3B: Marte/Youkilis vs. A Fraud
I don't know... Boston looks better so far IF IF IF IF Schilling and Beckett remain healthy. But I think it's too early to conclude anything.

Personally, I think Schilling's done. I don't think you'll see another good year out of him.
As for the Red Sox infield, I just think it has the potential to be REAL good. I think Lowell comes alive again hitting in that ball park (unless the reason he sucks really is because of the lack of "vitamins"). Loretta will pound the shit out of that wall. Blank has always been better than Jeter. And Marte/Youks may not be great this year, but should be serviceable. Probably Cano-like production last year.
Red Sox could also try to pull off a Manny/Miggy trade.

F U on the Jeter comment!!
I think Lowell and Giambi used to eat lunch together in the offseason....but I'll still take Juiceambi anyday just for the load of walks he's gonna get.
Loretta is solid but I think Cano will improve some more. I really like him (well his fielding is pretty disgusting).

If Youkilis plays this year I'll be pissed, he is such a loser... he's got no game whatsoever...
Yeah, NOMAR will never come back, but the SS will be any one of these idiots: Alex Cora, Pokey, Royce Clayton or Alex Gonzalez, ORLANDO CABRERA???? Unlikely.... who knows and who cares.....

Tejada won't go to the red sox. baltimore wont trade him within the AL east probabaly not even within the AL because they don't want to have to play against him throughout the season. and blank is lucky he gets to even play on the same field as derek jeter.

I think that if they're getting Manny in return, they'll be less reluctant to deal him to the AL East. Look, I doubt either gets traded, to be honest. But... if a deal was going to go down, this seems the most likely.
